God I hope not as he was the first Kraken I loved but could see it happen
The official NHL news account posted to Twitter today “Devils open to trading No. 10 pick in 2024 NHL Draft, looking for goalie”, which opens up the very, very faint possibility of a possible Joey Daccord trade and a Dreidger re-signing.
Perhaps more realistically though, the Devils are a possible Dreidger destination in free agency if trading for a goalie doesn’t pan out for them. That would have Chris jumping from one Cryptid team to another.
If the Kraken hadn't signed Phillip Grubauer to that ridiculous contract, then they could have kept Chris Driedger. Grubauer can't stay healthy and his contract will make it hard to trade him, so even if Seattle could somehow sign Driedger, would he earn playing time? And what would happen to Joey Daccord?
