Easily HHOF
3 points shy of the most playoff points by an American born* player, most points from the legendary 2003 draft class, etc. He was a fantastic leader (among other things, watching the Road to the Stadium Series there was a game (I think against the Coyotes?) where the Sharks were trailing 2-0 and during the intermission he was talking about how they had to play better, then he had a hat trick and individually willed the team to victory). I can't decide who my favorite Shark is between him, Patty, and Jumbo, but they've all given me a ton of great memories.
*Brett Hull played for America but he was born in Canada.
PS: Might want to double check the description. "Then, revisit the circumstances around the Pavelski signing with the Sharks" should say Stars.
Few players are so widely respected by all fans regardless of their team loyalties as Pavs is. Hopefully, the HOF voters recognise this when casting their ballots. It is supposed to be the Hall-of-Fame, not the Hall-of-Stats!
At the very least, I wouldn't mind seeing a Ring of Honor for Sharks legends. Guys like Nabokov, Pavelski, and Burns, would easily be qualified and deserve some form of permanent recognition from the organization. You could make the case for other legends like Nolan, Vlasic, and I'd throw in Irbe if only for that 1993-94 season alone.
