I think for Florida I hope they are cocky because their path wasn’t the same as last year where they were the 8th seed and upset an elite Boston team, took out a lucky leafs team, then beat an insane Carolina team in a sweep where they were second best every game. By the time they got to the finals they were gassed.
This year the Atlantic was not good thus the Panthers took out an injured and older Tampa squad, a Boston squad that lost their 2 best Cs last summer and overachieved this year and then got lucky to face an inept rangers team instead of a canes team that was far better. To me this years canes haven’t faced a tough opponent at all yet whereas the Oilers had to go through a good Dallas squad.

These teams match up so close they are both a big team with lots of skill, the only real difference is special teams and of course the Panthers don’t have a Mcdavid.
