It was nice while it lasted – similar situation as the Edmonton Oilers facing the NY islanders in the 80s ā¦.the first run the Oilers didnāt have what it took to beat a good Islanders team. They came back the next year and got the job done. Florida seems to be on that same trajectory this year. Now the Rangers need to make roster adjustments and get to the next level without dipping off. It would be a shame if the Rangers do the same to Igor as they did to Henrik
Trocheck should be captain.
Trouba has had his problems, but he has never been this awful. Injury was a huge factor in his play.

Why do we always sell our own players short? Meaning, if Rempe played on some other team they would say 'he might develop into a top 6 player' but if he's a Ranger, perhaps he cracks the lineup…'

Kreider needs to teach Rempe how to play in front of the net and on deflections
They should have sat Gustafson played Jones instead and gave Rempe more time on the ice. Buyout Trouba, trade Miller, trade Chytil, let Wennberg, Roslovic and the other late season pickups walk. Wheeler is probably going to retire. Get a tough right winger or 2 with energy and a big tough center. Find a big crease clearing defensemen that has a fast hard shot for the blueline. Maybe then Panarin and Mika won't feel overwhelmed by aggressive teams like Florida and disappear again.

Trade Truba for jeopardizing the playoffs playing with a broken ankle when 2 high prospectās would have been picked upā¦..having 8 million dollars in there hands putting Truba on the injury list

Trouba was not injured, he said he wasnāt. Heās just bad at hockey and getting worse as he ages.

Its really easy to blame Jacob Trouba for everything for the Rangers failure but there was plenty of failure to go around from those who disappeared honestly this team needs some toughness and grit and that was lacking so go on with the BS if it wasn't for our goalie it would of been over early
All the injury stuff tells me is trouba and lindgren may not be able to stay healthy ever and should be replaced if possible

Playing coach is always fun for us that do not have the skills to do it lol… that said it was obvious that Fox, Trubes and Lingren were injured/hurt in that last series. I commend them for plying thru the injuries however, I agree Jones should have be brought up. to get those guys a little breather. No tot he off-season and housecleaning. Time to get rid of things that don't work… I would be dumping Kako and Miller, Kako for obvious reasons, Miller's pillow checks are laughable and soft clears when it count are just crap… nothing clutch about this kid… and I liked him during regular season. Need to create a checking line, big and punishing on opposition. A bruise line. Last thing I would do is trade the bread man right before trade deadline goin into next years playoffs. He is awesome reg season… post season mehh… Thats my GM thoughts…
Same people saying Trocheck should be captain were bashing last year. I love Trocheck, but thereās a shit ton the fans donāt see in the locker room and Trouba plays hard.
You covered everything that needed to be said. I do think one of those core players needs to go. Entertain trade offers for Kakko, Trouba and either Zibanejad or Panarin. Obviously sign Igor to an extension. Chris Drury will have his job tested the most this summer than it has ever been before.
