  1. Another element is if Marner puts up 100+ points in the regular season, it adds another pressure point for the Leafs. Where would they find someone to replace his regular season production? In the 100 point scenerio, wouldn't the obvious course of action be to sign Tavares for 5 million a year, give Marner a long term 12 million contract and use the "saved" 3 million plus the cap increase of 5 million to get another impact player(s).

  2. mitch has been treated badly there. 50 points in 8 playoff runs. 14 points last year. why would mitch do them and their unappreciative fan base any favours?

  3. Marner sucks, let him walk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he is not worth big money ..

  4. This could be either a play on Marners part,or the truth.Either way,he holds the hammer with his full NMC and I would be surprised if he is traded before the beginning of next season. And that is if he is traded at all.

  5. If i am Marner i would stay and play out my contact and then sign with the team i want to go to. I am in the last year of my deal, why would i give the leafs only ONE team to trade with knowing that at the end of my deal i will be wanting to sign with that team. Why would i let the leafs GUT that team of prospects and picks to make the Leafs better when i would want that team to keep their picks and players to help make them better? Ive never understood people who say he should just pick a team and let the leafs trade him there. I wouldnt want the team that im hand picking gutted from their talent before i sign there makes zero sense.

  6. Marner succeed?? Look at Panthers and Oil and tell me with a straight face that Leafs could possibly beat either team. They would be lucky to win one game.

  7. Mitch is NOT a 100-point player. In fact he has never reached that goal. So don't call him that. He always falls short.

  8. It seems to me that Marner is unfairly bearing the brunt of the leaf fans disdain for their terrible play off failures. Let's not forget, the 13.25 million dollar super star center's play off numbers are just as dismal as Marner's. Which is even more perplexing because Matthews is a whole hell of a lot bigger than Marner and should be a dominating player during the play offs, but he wins Rocket Richard trophies so close your eyes and ignore the elephant in the room for another year as they head to the golf course in early Spring, again..

  9. Nothing will happen until July 1 when he receives $7M signing bonus leaving his salary at $775k. I can see Marner signing a 3 year $11.5M contract. This would bring him to age 30 to sign a final 8 year contract.

  10. This is Marners right. The leafs gave him this option and he’s just doing what he wants. This is the best FU he can give the ppl of Toronto. They will just have to run it back with basically the same team as last year minus Bertuzzi and Domi more than likely. NMCs will cost you every time.

  11. Getting? Management gave him a NMC and then didn't move him before it kicked in. Wonder whose fault that is? Here's a hint, it's not Marner's fault.

  12. Marner if a team doesn’t want you dude it’s time to realize to you need to move on get your freaking ego out the door go play somewhere else get a bridge deal for a while then if you prove that you’re capable to play in the playoffs, then you asked for more money but you have to realize they don’t want you anymore. simple as that

  13. Trade Marner to CBJ in exchange to Laine. Cbj retain some of Laine salary and you might have capspace to get defence. Imagine Laine and Matthews in same powerplay line…

  14. Great review LR99!
I only have 1 thing to say:
The Dubass/Shanahan curse bites again…..paying the "core 4" that amount and no-move clauses to boot…..THE LEAFS ARE GETTING EXACTLY WHAT THEY DESERVE!!!!😂

  15. HE HEARD ME!!! I SAID HE SHOULD REJECT EVERY TRADE SO SHITTY TORONTO GETS NO ASSETS FOR HOW THEY TREATED HIM

  16. Badda Badatdatdatah , I'm Lovin it 😍😍😍🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅😉😉😉🤗🤗🤗😎👍🏼
