NHL Trade Rumours: Necas being moved to NW, Konecny and Marchessault extension + Utah name and more.

hello everyone welcome back and today we got another news video here to discuss we got a couple of things to discuss including a couple of game reviews from over the past couple of days some signing updates some injury updates a couple pieces of news involved the Kraken at coaching position jacket’s GM position and the Utah franchise’s new name plus also got a couple of trade rumors involving the gold Knights the Sabers the Flyers and the Hurricanes which all that coming up right now [Music] hello everyone welcome back to another video here at the talk channel before we this video Don’t for to section below so this video now as usual going start today’s video off I discussing some game reviews from over past couple days we had two games over the past two days switch for both those games here first in game four of the Eastern Conference Final our floor Panthers below a third period lead but were covered and were able to beat the New York Rangers 3 to2 early in overtime after the Panthers tie the series up two a piece uh going back to New York for game five so very massive win there for Florida heavily outplayed them once a game but this time they’re able to get the win uh for Florida barov had two assists and Bennett rer who had the UL winner and Veri were three goal scores for the Panthers in the win while paner and fox both had two assists and lafir Chic were two goal scores for Rangers in the OT loss as the Rangers lost in OT for the first time these playoffs they had won twice in the Eastern comp Fino in the second round and they failed to take a two game series lead in this series so bad stuff there for the Rangers and then yesterday we saw in game four of the series the Edmonton Oilers overcome at early two- goal deficits and score five and answered to beat the Dallas Stars 5 to2 as the Oilers tied the series in two games a piece McDavid had three assist night while eeko blard mlod Yar and Dell were five goal scorers for the Oilers in the win while Ben had two assists and Lindell and Johnston were two goal scores for the stars in the loss so bad loss there for Dallas as they failed to take a two game series lead so interesting stuff there Panthers Oilers both able to win and tie up the series two a piece now heading back to Dallas and New York and we now know officially there will be game sixes on Saturday and Sunday for the Eastern Conference Final and the Western Conference Final so interesting stuff there but some really massive wins there from Florida and Edmonton and if you look at the game preview for the next couple days the game action later today at 5:00 p.m. Pacific time we have the Panthers SE on the New York Rangers Panthers are going to be looking to try and take the three two series lead Rangers are going to be looking to try and take a 32 series lead so that’ll be interesting and then tomorrow 5:30 in the Western Conference H we have game five the Oilers and stars both also going to be looking to take a 3 to2 Series lead some interesting games are going to be happening over the next couple of days going over to a quick signing update for the past couple of days that’s all the uh game f I’m going to talk about for the past couple of days today we’re going to be looking at the five signs that happened between May 25th and May 28th look at all those here first the Utah franchise has made another signing as they gave an ELC to left Winger Julian let let who was a 2022 second round pick of the Arizona Coyotes signs a 3year ELC with a of $923,000 that would be for the next three years let last year played over in the German league in the DL put up a goal in eight points in 24 games this year he played over in the USHL put up 24 goals and 68 points in 50 games looks fantastic and could eventually be AA midle 64 there for the Utah franchise that’s a pretty good sign there for Utah then we saw the Chicago Blackhawks signed Z Sanford who is the pending UFA who’s a Winger to a one-year contract extension with AV of $755,000 that’ll going to start next year Sanford was this year acquired off of waivers from the original coyotes looked all right in 29 AHL games combined with the two teams he put up four goals and 10 points and 29 NHL games com with two teams he put up six assists so a pretty decent sign there for Chicago Stanford could be an easy bomb six forward uh could be a call up option so it’s a pretty good sign there for the Hawks get more ad depth to four group so solid sign there for the Hawks then we saw St L Blues giv ELC to Center Prospect Alexandre kasaki kasaki who is a 2022 third round pick gets a threeyear ELC inur $70,000 they’ll start the game next year kasaki this past couple of years been playing over in Liga last year put up three goals and seven points and 41 games over there this year had 10 goals and 17 points in 48 games over there so looks like a pretty good Prospect could eventually be AA solid uh midle 64 there for the uh St Louis Blues it’s a pretty good sign there for the blues then we saw Chicago Blackhawks sa Martin meak who was a 2023 second round pick who’s a right winger to a threeyear ELC with the a of Andrew $80,000 that be St next year M played last year in the Slovakia League put up a goal and 10 points 29 games this past year play in the OHL put up 23 goals and 47 points in 60 OHL games looked pretty good even g into a game of AHL action didn’t put up a point but looked pretty good in it so it’s a pretty good sign there for the Blackhawks this sign mhack and I think eventually it should be a solid midle 64 there for the Hawks it’s a pretty good Sig there for Chicago and lastly the S sherks have officially signed Will Smith we saw he might be going back to uh college for one more season but he signs Will Smith who a center the fourth overall pick in the 2023 draft signs a three-year ELC with a of $950,000 that going to start next year so has been playing over in the NCAA the past couple years last year in the national team development program put up 51 goals and 127 points in 60 games this year over the NCAA put up 25 goals and 71 points in 41 games looks like eventually could be a solid Topline Center there for the Sharks but CBR most likely coming to that team two is going to be a fantastic second line center for the sharks so Sal sign there for Smith and I think long term he’s going to be a fantastic top six for for S so SS that happen over the past couple of days sharks are able to extend Will Smith G’s new ELC Blues are able to give an ELC to Cas Kaki Hawks giv an ELC C to meak the Blackhawks are also able to sign Sanford to an extension and letus NLC from the Utah franchise so some interesting s for past couple of days uh going over to a quick injury update for the past few days only one injury to talk about Chris tanov yesterday suffered a lower body injuries off for no period of time for Dallas Stars bad blow there hopefully he’s back for game five for Dallas Stars because if not that’s a bad blow for Dallas but still some interesting stuff there to see TANF hopefully be back but still it bats to see him with an injury uh going over to a couple of pieces of news for the past couple of days first we’ll start with the head coaching position we talked about this on Tuesday it officially did wind up happening after I posted that video uh but D bman has indeed been named the head coach of the Seattle Kraken so that’s a pretty solid sign there for Kraken we know that they recently fired Dave hackel the first coach in Kraken franchise history hackel had led into playoffs one time in the past two seasons a lot of people were surprised by that but hackel did wind up getting fir KR want to go a new Direction and they go with bman now bman does have had coaching experience uh he was a assistant coach for about 9 months in New York he was an interim head coach for a couple of months for the pittser Penguins and was able to become the new head coach was head coach of the Pitts Penguins for 5 years in a month was able to help them uh get to I think it was this cup final against the TR wings I think that might have been the year they won so that was interesting for him so he was head coach in Pittsburgh from 2009 to 2014 he was head coach then in Buffalo from 2015 to 2017 part of the long list list of coaches Buffalo’s had that have not LED them to the playoffs uh then he was an assistant coach in Detroit from 2018 to 2021 and then he’s basically been AHL head coach for the past couple of years been with the coach Val Firebird to the AHL help the Krakens that AHL fils do extremely well and now he’s going to be a new head coach uh so that’s a really good sign there for the Kraken bman I think is going to be a fantastic fit for the Kraken I think he fits exactly what they’re trying to look for hopefully they’re able to build this team a little bit better I’m not exactly sure the term was for his deal I think it was two to three years I might be wrong on that but B was going to be a fantastic uh coach for the crack and I think it was the right uh move to promote from within so B is going to get a third head coaching opportunity after helping the Penguins win the Stanley Cup and after being one of the many Buffalo serus coaches over the past decade and hopefully he’s going to be the one to lead the Kraken back to the playoffs so interesting head coaching hiring there for the Kraken and hopefully it’s going to be an interesting one there for Seattle next we go over to Blue Jackets GM position and talked about there a lot of potential GM options for the Blue Jackets that they could go into a variety of different directions well they did indeed go with former Carolina uh president and GM Don woodell now woodell like we said was interviewing for a job in Columbus he does have a lot of experience being a GM and a president he was assistant GM in Detroit uh back in the late 1900s then he was for majority of the Atlanta’s time in Atlanta uh he was their GM he was their president of of hockey Ops at one point he was even the interim head coach uh so that was interesting for Odell then he was the president from the Carolina Hurricanes for 10 years and he was the GM of the K hurricanes for six so he does have a lot of experience being a GM being a president of hawy Ops he gets the title of GM president of hawy Ops and Alternate governor in Columbus so that’s really good hire there for the jackets to get wadell I think wadell should be a fantastic gym I mean he built the Carolina Hurricanes to get to the Conference Final in two or five years uh in the last five seasons he really built out Kell Hinson to be dominant uh they’ve made it to multiple second round exits so as much as they haven’t been to a cup final yet well Del has definitely made that team really good and I think he should be able to do exact same same for Columbus they’re going to have a lot of options a lot of interesting things need to work out for coaching one of them to bring back Pascal Vincent on the roster what about L mer leakin proov Bist can they bring in some really good help it’ll be really interesting to see exactly what happens there for Columbus this offseason but now they at least have their GM and the president of hockey Ops by signing Don wadell so fig sign there for jackets to hire wadell to be the new GM and that seems it’s going to be a fantastic hire there for Columbus so seems like Columbus now GM now they’re going to have to figure out the coaching position and The rosters going into the offseason so we’ll have to wait and see on that uh and lastly for the new portion here of the video uh going over to the Utah franchise I’m not sure if I ever mentioned this but a couple of weeks ago the the Utah franchise owner Ryan Smith did put out a pull uh giving fans options to pick I think I was out of like 20 or 22 names uh what the Utah franchise’s name should be said there was going to be a second round uh coming up later in the summer he also said that they’ll most likely have no team name for the first season now I think this is probably a little bit different but they’re definitely not going to have a a jersey with a logo on it they’ll just have the words Utah and their Jersey name so uh that’s interesting to know but recently uh the poll ended I think it was like a week ago back on May 22nd uh but recently I think it was yesterday on the pet makave show Ryan Smith made an impromptu video calls saying that they have their four te names that they’re going to their four finalist you could say uh for the new franchise he included saying that the yeti are one of the finalists the mammoth are one of the finalists not sure what the other two are but it’ll be interesting to see exactly what the final four are for the team name now what my personal opinion on this is they’ll be able to get a team name and like a nickname and logo potentially even before the season starts but just to get to the Jersey uh the logo and everything else like that it would be too hard in a short time frame that they have before they needed all the Jersey info so I think there’s a very lucky chance we see that Utah uh be on the team name for the first season and then they’ll go to a logo in the second season but I think it’s still potentially a possibility we could have a team nickname and a logo before the season starts we’ll have to wait see exactly what happens there but it seems like ye he’s the finalist Mammoth is the finalist I hope one of the names that could be included with a B logo cuz it’s the Beehive stat I hope one of those are in the finalist I know Outlaw was one that a lot of people are liking so maybe that’s a finalist I’m not exctly sure what finalists are there but I do think this is going to be an interesting situation they’re going to have to watch out for in the coming weeks I think if they’re able to have a logo or nickname before the draft comes out I think that’ll be fantastic if not then hopefully sometime later in the summer they’ll have a new name and they can have a logo that work for the first season even if it’s not the Jersey so after on that and lastly going over to the trade RoR part of the video now uh there’s been a lot of speculation for the past couple days we’ll start with the gold Knights apparently Jonathan Marshall who did a recent interview is saying that he’s sort of confused or unhappy that the gold kns and I have been sted to talk about a contract extension with him now in my opinion that’s really really bad news for the golden knights I think Marshall is probably the biggest UFA they need to sign him now they don’t have a lot of cap space but if leoner is long-term injury bound and they can place his contract to long-term injury reserve that still not give them enough to sign Marshall although it’s still need to move a GU like McNab or he but we’ve seen the year’s past the they an aggressive Bunch trying to win whenever they can except I think that keeping Marshall will probably be the best way to win so to see them not at this point in time even start contract negotiations with him when we’re about a month away from free agency is really bad news so I think that the Gold N need to try and figure out what they’re going to do with Marshall all cuz I think Marshall is probably the biggest UFA and I think they would love to keep him but given the fact they haven’t even started contract talks with him start to doubt that so uh is Marshall going to remain in Vegas is he going to leave it seems like more likely than he’s going to leave right now uh apparently a team who could have some major interests in Marshall all if he was to hit the FR Market would be Utah uh the new Utah franchise may have a lot of interest in marshel to be a solid top six Winger there so that could be a really good fit I think marshel will be able to get what he wants from Utah so we have to see exactly what happens there for the golden knights but it sounds like Marshall and the gold kns at this point in time are not talking contract extension and there’s a very likely chance that the golden a wind up letting Marshall walk so have to stay on that uh according to a couple of reports also there’s a lot of teams who have some interest in Buffalo sabr defense with Matia Samuelson now that’s a little bit of a surprise to me but I can see why the Sabres already have a left shot defenseman in power a left shot defenseman in Byam a left shot defenseman in Dalene and a left shot defenseman in Samuelson who are on the top four so could they be looking to move maybe one of those left shot defenseman to try and get a right shot defenseman maybe but on top of that Samson’s probably the best defensive defenseman of those four guys Byrum Dal power all really good offensive defenseman but they’re not the best defensively so there’s been a lot of talk that Kevin Adams does not want to trade samuelon I think unless he finds a fantastic deal then I don’t think that Sam will be moved he’s got I think six or seven years left on his contract with AV of $4 million which I think at this point in time with the way samuelson’s played is a steal in my opinion for Buffalo uh but it’ll be interesting to see I mean if they are able to move Samuelson get a guy who’s still on the younger side of things uh can play top four minutes is on the right side maybe makes sense for the sa to make that sort of a move but I think if they were to just move on from him and not get a horribly good return for Samuelson they don’t think it really makes much sense for the Sabers so we have wa to see exactly what happens there but apparently some teams are calling on Matia Samson and personally I don’t think they’ll move him it sounds like KS doesn’t want to move him but if they do find uh extremely good asking price maybe there’s a possibility that he gets moved so after point on that there’s also had some updates on the Travis connect me contract talks and we know we talked about this for a while if we talked about this about a year year and a half ago a lot of people were going to be thinking that connect was going to get moved by filipy Flyers he was going to find a new place uh the Flyers are going to move on from him but after the season he had this past year showing how important he is to that Philadelphia Flyers team uh it seems like he’s going to definitely be remaining in Philadelphia now given that fact there seems to be looking for a contract extension talks and seems like it’s going to a similar place where William neander contract talks were going last year it sounds like according to Anthony DeMarco uh Travis conne is looking for $10 million on new contract Ascension and the Flyers are looking for eight that sounds eerily similar to what nander and the leaf are doing at the very start of the negotiations neander W 10 and the Leafs wanted eight and they were not able to uh come to terms on an extension until middleway thir season when it was eventually I think it was 11 A4 million so not exactly sure how this one will fill out I know KY really wants to remain in Philadelphia the Flyers absolutely love connec me he’s sort of a Philadelphia Flyer type player they would love to keep him although I’m not exactly sure of keeping him at that sort of a price tag at $10 million would be a smart move for a philia Flyers team who’s still in a rebuild mode right now so it’ll be interesting to see exactly what happens there for the Flyers but sounds like concy wants $10 million sounds the Flyers want $8 million do they me in the middle it’s somewhere around $9 million or is this going to be another long contract negotiations like we sell with neander last year so we’ll have to wait and see on that and lastly La was talking about Mar NIS uh he says that the Caroline hurricanes are open to moving NES he says that even though he’s interim GM right now even though some people think he should be the GM right now uh Eric tulsky Elliot Freeman did say has permission to make a big n move if necessary uh if they don’t have a GM in place before deal could be done so it’s quite possible because an just trading the na this in future uh teams who I’ve seen be link ten aous one will be Calgary we talked about this about a week ago uh Flames definitely seem to have some interest in NES we know they’re looking for some more younger players who can help them in their retool phase right now I think NES could be a fantastic top six forward with guys like Kadri huberto Zary pelch I think that could to be a fantastic top six forward there for Calgary we know we talked about Vancouver this past week uh we know they can move veronic they can move make a decent package we know they’re looking for a Winger for Pon so NES could be a fantastic piece there for him a couple of other teams that I’ve seen be linked to the NES uh would be be SE Kraken Kraken seem to be having some interest in NES we know they’re looking for some more goal scoring help NES could definitely provide that they have a lot of interesting forward Prospect I think could INRI Carolina so we’ll have to wait see on that but I think there’s a very lucky chance seal could be in on that Utah franchise they have a lot of cap space to work with we know they want to try and improve their team hes could be a all top six forward they have the cap space to pay hes whatever he wants so I think there’s a very likely chance that we could see H Trad not in the future even if Eric tulsky still the interim GM and it seems like teams like Utah Calgary Vancouver and Seattle could all have a lot of major interest in a guy like Martin hes so we’ll have to wait and see exactly what happens there but that’s all I’m going to talk about for today I’d love to he you guys thoughts on all this down in the comment section below do you see Hello everyone and welcome back to another End to End Hockey video, (sorry for the delay, I was supposed to post this last night), in this video we have another News video as first we look some Game Review from over the past few days as we saw the Panthers have a huge OT win in game 4 to down the Rangers and even up the series, while the Oilers score 5 straight and down the Stars to even up their series at 2 apiece heading to game 5, then we look at some signing including Lutz in Utah, Sanford and Misiak in Chicago and Will Smith signing his ELC with San Jose amongst others, then we look at some injury updates including Tanev in Dallas, then we look at some pieces of News involving Bylsma being the new head coach in Seattle, Waddell being the new President and GM in Columbus and some more updates on a team name in Utah, and then we look at some trade rumours as Vegas and Marchessault haven’t talked about a extension yet, could he leave, then we look at the Flyers and Travis Konecny as they are ways apart on a extension, then we talk about teams having interest in Sabres Samuelsson, could he be dealt and Necas will be moved soon, plenty of teams have interest, and I would love to hear your thoughts on all that was discussed in today’s video down in the comments section below.
