[NHL Watcher] Friedman on the Sabres 11th overall pick being available (32TP): “I think they are really interested in another top 6 forward, that’s what I think they are looking for and if they can find one, they will do it, that’s what a couple of teams have told me”

More from [Sabre Report](https://x.com/thesabrereport/status/1799109537317658721?s=46&t=A9g-Am0a5jCjDIuzDBhpHw) on the 11th pick / what Friedman said:
“…And the thing is, they haven’t limited it to ‘we want this’. They’re willing to move down, get more assets, they’re willing to get a player for it.
I think they’re really interested in another top-six forward. That’s what I think they’re looking for. And if they can find one, they will do it. That’s what a couple of teams have told me…”
“…One of the things Buffalo has indicated is they’ve gone a bunch of their guys signed obviously, but they have the next wave of players coming.
Eventually they’re going to have to sign those guys too, and they don’t want to walk themselves into cap problems…”
“…But if there’s an impactful top-six forward out there, they’re looking.”
Ehlers, Necas and Marner (in that order of my personal preference) are the immediate names that come to mind.
What is fair market value for pick 11
11oa, 2022 1st rd center, + mid round pick could = a solid top 6. Id be okay with that.
Mitch Marner for 11OA 1:1 who says no? /s
If it happens it’ll be someone we don’t even see as an option. Calling it now
Trade top prospect(s) and keep the pick if the trade is there. Spread out the prospect pipeline with hopefully another top asset. But I might not know crap.
