This is the most excited I've been for a SCF in YEARS. I'm rooting for Florida, but Edmonton could be a sleeper agent as they have before, so honestly, I'm not saying a word yet. This is so evenly matched it hurts.
I like that a gritty team is making it to the finals again , I think it sends a preferable message and trend to the league, or else we'd be have teams just stocked up on Marner type players I wouldn't want that. I also think McDavid is so generational that I want to see him win one, (fan of neither team) but I will be watching, this is a good one.

The Panthers are the Favourites for the final and hell keep talking about them and how They can beat the Oilers, but we will wait tomorrow and lets see how amazing there truly are.. This is the samething with Canucks and Dallas and guess what Oilers have beaten them when they are the underdogs and on Florida except Matthew can the whole team focus when they are in Edmonton cause we the fans are loud and we put pressure..

The Panthers' determination is what pushes them slightly over the Edge for me. Game 5 VS the rangers is a perfect example of their mindset.
The dominated that game and would have won easily if not for Igor playing out of his mind and yet they lost… But it's the way they bounced back and just crushed the Rangers in the next game that really show their determination.
However, it's going to be amazing tonsee how they deal with the starpower of McDavid-Draisaitl and those Special teams

I think Panthers in 6. Skinner has to come back down to Earth, and the Panthers are way better at finishing than the Stars. I don't think they go 34 shots vs 10 and lose.
I'd like to see the Panthers get their first, but it'd also be fine for McD to get his first so people can stop saying 'he's not good because where's his cup'.
I really thought Dallas would win with their depth. But the Oilers have proven so adaptable against all of their opponents, my money is on them to win it all. Panthers have just played their same game the entire playoffs so far, just more aggressive or not depending on the team. Also fun fact, these are the most northern and southern teams in the league

My heart wants the oilers to win, they learned a lot playing a heavy defense team in the Canucks and a pretty balanced Stars squad. My head says flordia because of the flordia RAT tkchuck himself and they have something the Oilers don't. Goaltending, the Oilers need to protect high chance shots and keep flordia outside as much as possible because if they get those chances they will convert.
The Oilers actually do have the edge. But many people underestimate them because their poor start to the season diluted their stats. Since Knoblauch took over, they've achieved the best points percentage and best goal differential. Basically, the best results. And they certainly have the better special teams. Make no mistake, Knoblauch's Oilers are a force to be reckoned with. I'm predicting an Oilers victory in 6 or 7.
Vancouver Orca fan here. I don't actually mind either team, both got things I like and I don't like. If I have to choose, I'd cheer for Oilers a bit more because, regardless of my personal feelings about Oilers team or McDavid, the latter has endured enough for the ultimate glory. And also Panthers' AGM being Greg Campbell, and his dad Collin Campbell being NHL's Vice President seems like a bit of a conflict of interest to me.
Panthers has no chance to win against this new Oilers team. What everyone was saying about Dallas is the same they are saying for Florida, and the result will be the same in favor of Edmonton. There is no way the slow skating, stick/jersey holding and penalty racking Panthers can even think to win this. Edmonton in 6.
Hard to say it's like putting an unstoppable force against an unmoveable object I see most of these games Goin double or even triple OT.
