[Stephenson] Asked whether he’d be willing to move on from one or more of his core players, Drury danced around it, but said “nothing is off the table.”

Drury is good at his job. And he wants to win as much as any fan. Neither is a guarantee he’ll get it right, but hoping he’s serious that anything is possible.
Drury plays everything close to the vest. He won’t say anything about the trades until they’ve already happened and we have a “Thank you” post to the departing player on Instagram.
But he knows he can’t BS about *not* trading anyone.
We’ve proven we can do circles around teams in the regular season but now it’s time to finally make some moves, even if they’re drastic and sacrifice regular season wins for a playoff built roster.
It’s the correct answer despite what Ranger fans think or feel about any of the players. Say what you want but it would be a disaster to roll out next season without some changes.
Idk what’s classified as a core player but trouba, kreider, goodrow are all possibilities and maybe lindgren also as he’s a rfa.
They say this about everything.
I think wanting to move core players is a horrible, reactive take. Top 4 team in the league, president’s trophy winners who got outbid by a hungrier, better all arlund team this season. As if we won’t be right back here and just as competitive next year. Work on filling in the holes, the team is more than fine.
Imagine being dumb enough to reveal your plans right now.
Ofcourse he will give a non answer
That’s the right attitude, see what offers come for whom and go from there.
Of course nothing is off the table.
