Good dude. Fought all the way back just to give his team a chance and help. He could have packed it in, but he didn’t. Way to play Blake.
I have the utmost respect for Blake Wheeler. If he opts for more family time or one last run at the Stanley Cup, I wish him all the best going forward. He's had a brilliant career, ring or no ring.
He gave it a try. But really was always a step behind.

As disappointed as we all were with his season, he’s one hell of a team presence. Natural leader and seems like a great guy. His contract was near nothing so I’m honestly all for signing him for one more year at the same price. He would be great 3rd/4th line depth.
