This Day in Kings’ History (2014): Dustin Brown defeats the Rangers in double overtime



On June 7, 2014, the Kings came back from a two-goal deficit and won their third consecutive playoff game in sudden-death. Dustin Brown scored in double overtime in a 5-4 win against the New York Rangers, and the Kings gained a 2-0 lead in the Stanley Cup Final.

  2. I took my Dad to this game, and after we went down 2-0 I said “we got em right where we want em”… And I laughed cause I meant it (pretty damn confident after the CHI series).

    And I was right, I guess. Amazing game. Amazing memories.

    Unrelenting. Down by two goals.. What, 7 times from game 7 of the WCF, Through games 1 & 2 of the SCF.. all wins. Glorious times

    Another 2 goal deficit. And to think, we never technically had a lead in the first 2 games, and ended up going up 2-0 heading to New York.

    Also, Marion Gaborik was such a solid mid season trade.
