  1. Odd that Nashville would give a piece to Tampa when they have their 1st rounder next year. You’d think Nashville would want Tampa as bad as possible next year in hopes the pick is #11. Or, have it be an unprotected 1st in 2026. Tampa is sliding backwards. Don’t help them.

  2. Toronto better pick up some good defenceman hockey players and some good hockey players hook and actually score goals and who can actually win Toronto Maple Leafs their first Stanley Cup in my history of life win For once it can’t be that hard to play in the NHL you guys suck. I don’t think you’ll ever win a Stanley Cup in Toronto Maple Leafs jersey Toronto Maple Leafs organization get rid of Vancouver Canucks or better than Toronto Maple Leafs could ever be Edmonton Oilers Way better than Toronto Maple Leafs could ever be Toronto sucks and that’s all there is a bunch of losing skill hockey players they do not know how to win. They only know how to lose.

  3. So they dumped him for nothing cause he wasn't worth 6.75m at 32, but now acquire him for a 2nd cause he is worth 6.75m at 34

  4. From a NSH fan, I'm sad to see the leadership go, but I'm happy to have the cap space to see who they could go after. Got eyes on Necas especially

  5. Make zero sense for TB! Why pay a 2nd for an aging defender and 6 million in salary!! Does this mean Stammer is done in Tampa?

  6. I have no idea how this will turn out for Nashville, but I’m super excited to have Mac back. We’ve missed him. Things have been a mess on the backend, and poor Cernak has been adrift without his old D partner.

  7. Steve Dangle on their hockey podcast made a great point on this that id like to second, in those cup runs Tampa had they would have one of Hedman, McDonagh, or Sergachev on the ice at any moment. That is absolutely killer and if Tampa can run that back again with a completely retooled defense they are looking to be one of the best teams in hockey again.

This is especially true if Jeanout finally returns to form next year, even if he only had a okay season as long as he’s healthy that would make the Bolts defense absolutely killer behind Vasy in net who will probably be a lot more healthy next year compared to this one. Honestly with this deal looking at the Tampa roster assuming they find a way to keep Stamkos this is easily the second best team in the Atlantic and who knows maybe things will be different if they match up against Florida again.

  8. You have to love having a guy like McDonagh coming back to the squad. He is a bit older but he is still playing good hockey.

  9. Makes sense for both sides. Tampa needs that mcd presence. Nashville needs a few players of his kind of style but 2 for that price to get closer to a cup run

  10. I think Marner would be a great fit in Nashville! He would be the main man for forwards along with Forsberg! And even if Nashville traded Saros as part of a deal, they still have Askarov that they’ve been wanting to become the starter so they’d be fine goalie wise! 👍🏻
