I think you made a good point. There's regular season Zadorov and playoffs Zadorov. If you're giving him 5.5 or 6, you're paying for a guy who will be adequate in the regular season and an absolute monster in the playoffs. You expect a 5.5 or 6 million player to step up their game when it really matters. If what we saw is what we'd be getting, decent in the regular season but a beast in the playoffs, I'd say that's potentially worth the asking price. As long as he's good enough in the regular season, that's fine with me, as long as he IS this good consistently in the postseason. That's why you pay guys big money. Look at the Leafs. They play great in the regular season, get their big contracts, and then they're almost invisible in the playoffs. You want your money to go to players who will show up when the games matter the most. As long as Zadorov is good enough to get the Canucks into the playoffs, that works for me. He's shown he steps up his game when it matters. That's why you pay him the money.
Salary cap got raised
Carolina will sign him in free agency or Toronto somehow. Both those tens need more toughness to get to glory land

Get rid of Soucy & Hronek. Get rid of Suter, Dries & Blueger. That way you can have Zadorov and Myers. Then you can keep Lindholm cause he was great towards the end of the playoffs and we didn't get to see him play fully. If we get rid of them 2 on D and then 3 on center cause the Canucks have a few lines of center position players. Then bring up some talent you've drafted a few years ago and stop trading away prospects away. But this is only my opinion. I don't get you to like it or get it. But with this you can free up some cap space and sign Zadorov and Lindholm and do a proper job of bringing up players, instead of leaving them down in the AHL to rot or end up get traded or end up as Ufa or RFAs.
5 mil per or pass.
If we hadn't paid so much for EP40 this would be a non issue!!
