The Edmonton Oilers just got rocked by officer Bobrovsky as he shut the door making 32 saves as the Florida Panthers take game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals. That and more in today’s NHL hockey video!
The Oilers played an excellent game. That's a positive for them. The Panthers won game 1, and struggle a lot of times in game 1s, and at home. So that's a positive for them. We'll see how the rest of the series goes.
Florida just got the better pieces than Vancouver… reminding me of the canucks series this could probably go to 7 as well if the Oilers figure out Bobrovsky
Oilers lived it up in Florida for how many days alot to take in for players not use to that nasty low pressure air as well think alot of things factor into this loss lucky pucks, but as usual I saw at least 29 missed slashes several missed cross-checks and how can you just lay down on a player "really"….as we are seeing the zebras ut em the NHL I think wants Florida to win, Ronny must be puttin up a stink needs a championship help his next run…well see how well the cat's do with a much shorter travel schedule…These obvious infractions keep going unnoticed then Ill know for sure hockey's not different then the WWE and sad part is they have the players even fooled.
I hope it's a wakeup call for the Oiler fans who thought they were just gonna steamroll the Cats with high end talent. They're gonna have to grind it out & backcheck if they're going to win it. The Panther's D is also going to have to step it up if they want to win, Bob was awesome, but if he keeps facing that many chances he's gonna burn out at some point.
I think the work Barkov made for the first goal was pretty impressive considering it was McDavid he was racing against and he still managed to skate into the Oilers' zone all the way from the Panthers' D-zone and make that pass
Oilers played well but Nurse and Cece were on the ice for the panthers 2 goals. They got to split that pair up rather bench Cece or put someone else in the lineup, it would be helpful for this team because if those mistakes didn’t happen we could have had a different outcome.
It seems like a nightmare because the Florida goalie move laterally so well and it’s hard to beat them if they keep shooting low they’re not gonna beat them
Oilers coulda had 6 and Bob wouldn't have been to blame for the loss. Oilers had more high danger shots on net than Florida had all shots on net. Oilers got mega goalied. They will break through.
Nuge missed a shot on a practically open goal. Oilers had some chances but didn't take them. Meanwhile Oilers D was asleep and Florida made the most of their 2 chances. Bob kept the Panthers in the game, MVP of that game for sure. Oilers need to shake it off, come back strong and not make those dumb mistakes again if they are going to win.
