  1. Am I the only one who would be happy with the habs just keep rebuilding… draft the best player available at 5th even a def… lets say celibrini and levshunov are gone you get demidov Lindstrom silayev or dickinson. If you get a D you could package one of our d with the 26th pick to move up and get a Crack at a decent forward. Then the cap just went up, you weaponise it and get more assets that helps the future. At the trade deadline u cash in on savard's value… the d is not mature enough to compete for a solid spot… when ppl say mtl fans are not patient enough for a rebuild they are talking about right now… not the first 2 years… it's year 3 and 4 that is the issue. There is good players available every year but locking in on a gamble right now might handcuff them when it's time to make move that really matters later on… enough with the 6 year 6 million that comes back to bite you hard

  2. For Kakko, its probably best he moves on. As a Rangers fan, i want to keep him. Whats he going to cost??
    $2.5M/year??
You know what happens. He will go to Buffalo, or Montreal, or Chicago or worse….
New Jersey, Boston, Tampa or Carolina and become the 25+ goal and 60+pt guy that is somewhere in there.
    JT Miller ….
    Pavel Buchnevich…
I bet we'd love one of those guys still on this team no??
I hope we keep him. Move Laffy to the 1st line, move Kakko on the 2nd( PP tine would also be nice) and play Cuylle, Chytil, Othmann on the 3rd with Goodrow, Vesey and Rempe

  3. Agreed on Laine maybe stressing under the limelight, dont think Kakko is the answer too. Mind you I see Laine doing well the first year if he joins Habs but then year 2 is a big question.

  4. I dont think laine will end up in montreal. Hes having mental health issues (his dad randomly passed away a year or so ago). He went into the player treatment program.

Doesnt seem like the right fit for him considering what hes going through.

All the pressure that comes with being on the habs….yeah. dont see it happening

  5. I get it.. but we have enough projects for marty to handle. We need actual 1st and 2nd line players not 2nd 3rd maybe guys.
