I agree with the boys. No matter how well he plays Cowan at best will play 9 games and then will be sent back down to juniors. There is no way he plays more than 9 games because the Leafs do not want to sacrifice/lose a year of his ELC.
His impact will be 6-8 points in his 9 games he'll get before being sent back to the OHL
Cowan is pretty small he might not be ready for the nhl…………………………….

It’s sucks that he can’t play AHL next season , he is going to absolutely dominate the OHL next year and it’s not as good for his development.. I would bet he plays 9 games with the leafs and the rest in the O
I’d be shocked if Cowan plays NHL next year. He is way too small and light. I can’t see him competing yet. He needs to add some weight to be effective.
I think he is ready. He has a lot of fire in him. Very confident. He is not mentally weak. This guy is perfect for next season

He looks too much like the Leafs Core 4 forwards & not like the goalie or D men that the Leafs need to succeed. 😀
