New York Rangers front office will be very busy this offseason trying their best to make this team better than the previous season after losing in the Eastern Conference Finals. Rangers need to add some good talent but also some toughness and physicality.

Think the biggest splash Rangers make in the offseason is signing Marchessault . Donāt see it being as big as a offseason as many Ranger fans are thinking. Think Mika Kreider and Trouba all stay.
They have to get heavier and more physical or they are never winning a cup with this current roster no matter how many times they run it back.
The biggest change the Rangers can make is separating Mika and Kreider. They have tried everybody as a RW and nobody has worked. Marchessault wonāt work either work either.
Rangers outhit the Panthers most games , there issue was defense were horrible getting puck out quick enough

I believe the Rangers are fine and the coaches were the reason they fell short this year. They knew Florida was a physical team that likes to dump and smash the boardsā¦low scoring games with a lot of board workā¦so instead of playing Rempe in game 1 to fire up the Garden Crowd they decide to sit him..big mistake..Florida was teeing off on the boards and the Rangers started to shoot the puck up the wall instead of controlling it and skating it out.
Rempeās benefit to the team is if a physical team like Florida dumps the puck and makes plays off them they have to worry while theyāre digging it out.. are they about to be crushed by Rempe..which leads to mistakes..instead it was the Rangers shooting the puck up the boards to the waiting Florida player. Playing Wheeler in game 4 with a 2-1 lead was ridiculous..hardly playing Rempe because of the fear of penaltiesā¦not to smart..putting Trouba on the first line when he obviously wasnāt fully recovered yet..really?
When Florida wins the cup..maybe theyāll understand how bad their coaching decisions were.
What About Trading for Radko Gudas from the Ducks ? he was a force in the 2023 playoffs for the Panths.

Rangers need what they needed since Lundquist joined the team & that us stronger, consistent defense. Rangers have the habit for ages now of the d-men relying goalie magnificence to bail out the team rather play some hard nosed D. Keep Miller & Fox & replace the rest with preferably elite tier defense.
IMO, there's a big (small) gorilla in the room that everyone just ignores – Fox. Fox had his best 2 yrs, his first 2. He hasn't been effective enough as a QB for the 5v5 in years. His value is just on PP. He's also not big, tough or physical enough. He's a liability as a Top Pair, especially with undersized Lindgren as a partner. How can you have a top D pairing with 2 guys 5'11"??? what team does that ever match up well against? Reg season you play some shitty teams, and can get away with it. NOT in playoffs. Fox is a great guy to have in regular season. FL and Canes figured him out, even Caps. He either needs to be 2d or 3d pairing in 5v5, since he's not effective anyway. This never gets talked about, its blasphemy around NYC, since he's hometown guy. But he's NOT worth the portion of the salary cap he commands. Mikola looked like a world beater against us, and he's not even a top guy.

rip the c off trouba, blamed his lack of performance on his ankle injury while setting the nhl record for most penalties in an off season by one player.
