Hope the McDonagh and Jeannot trades don't tank their future, with how they had been developing prospects they could've built around their 20-something year old core and extended their strong run; instead I think they can have some solid years but then not much longevity

The amount players save by playing in Florida is so overrated. I say that as a Floridian. Our property insurance rates are like 3 times what other Americans pay. Our sales taxes are really high. The cost of property here is ridiculously high. The inflation rate in Florida is the highest in the USA. Health insurance costs are ridiculous. Our car insurance premiums are the highest in the US. Everything evens out at the end of the day. Floridians have such a high overall cost of living. The hockey world only seems to focus on our 0% state income tax. State/provincial governments will all find a way to charge you, one way or another. None of them operate for free.
I don't see Stamkos leaving tampa. Any contending team who wants stamkos can't afford Stamkos either and for Stamkos to leave the team he has led to multiple cups makes no sense. That would literally stamkos saying ya i don't believe in my team mates anymore so I'm going to go to another contender and try and win it with a completely different team.
Rumor has it he's going to take a hometown discount to stay in Florida.. THE FLORIDA PANTHERS.. lololololol.. can't wait
