  1. It’s fine. He was put into a position nobody could have succeeded in. Maybe he’ll learn from his mistakes or maybe he won’t. He should have been an assistant on the Hawks and give him a chance to learn the NHL game.

Hindsight is 20/20 always, but this man was brought into a room with tarp on the ground for execution the moment Bowman rushed him into the NHL as HC. He probably is a good coach, and will be very successful, but his experience here (at the time) was fucking atrocious. HOWEVER, I understand that Colliton had to walk into a room with fucking Toews, Keith, Seabrook, Kane, and Co. and try to lead them. 3 Stanley Cup winning, same age players into his new “system” that he had zero time to perfect down in Rockford. Yea, no way. I’m sure there’s comment history of me dancing on Colliton’s grave when he was fired, but after some time I feel bad for the situation he was put into and can understand why he failed so bad.

I heard from Nuck’s testimonials he was great for their AHL team, so hopefully he can keep his success rolling.

Good for him. Just because it doesn’t work out as a head coach doesn’t mean he won’t be a great assistant or associate coach. Terrible head coaches have gone on to win championships as assistants in every sport on the planet.

So it didn’t work out here. Who cares? I’m rooting for the individual. I wish him happiness

Good for him. He was in an awful position and woefully under prepared for the gig. I wish the guy nothing but the best.
