  1. I admit I wasn't so much a supporter of Lance (I thought he came across as a bit of an arse). But I gave him the benefit of doubt because he was never caught although I did think it was a bit to much. With all that has happened I still support his charity because I always saw it as a cancer charity not his personal plaything, the yellow stuff is now a joke but the premise shouldn't be forgotten. Cant wait for 29th June so the 100th tour can start I'll be rooting for Froome this time.

  2. David confronting people with Livestrong bracelets is in my eyes very unprofessional. This guy is way too personally invested in this pursuit he has undertaken. Like others have said, he has avoided answering the question of what he is going to do with his career going forward. If I had to guess though, I'd say he will look for another person he thinks is cheating, and make him his target.

  3. what is david walsh going to do now L.A has been proven to be a fraud? the same as he's always done. sports journalism. he's not only a procycling journalist. what does it matter to he walsh became 'too personally invested' in the pursuit of the truth? that's his job. it still is his job. read L.A Confidentiel and you'll see just how good he is at it.

  4. This isnt just another cycling story. A story like this comes along maybe once a lifetime. He was so involved in it because he was a rarity in believing Armstrong was a fake. Anybody can go with the flow just to fit in with the masses. But its much harder to stick to your guns like Walsh did, and thankfully he did. Most people give up to easily, too afraid of offending someone. Walsh doesnt appear to be easily bullied or fooled.

  5. I have never really doubted the fact that Lance doped, how long for is what I didn't know. He may be a fraud and degraded cycling which is a great shame. but lets not forget that he is still one of the best of all time, he would have won tours regardless and how many cyclists started because of him?

  6. Let me guess, you were one of those guys with the bracelets. Don't hate on the guy for exposing your naivety.

On the topic of what he was going to do, I'm going to take a wild guess and say he is going to continue covering sports, cycling in particular. If he decides to continue his investigative reporting on dopers, by god let him keep cleaning up the sport. Cause we know other reporters don't have the guts or the know-how to do it.

  7. How can you say someone is the best, when ALL their achievements were based on fraud? For all we know, he might not have one a single tour, if he didn't have the best doctors and team money can buy.

Unlike you, i do not base my judgments of an action or a person based on the consequences. He didn't dope to his teeth and won all those tours for the sake of inspiring people, they were just unintended effects of his insurmountable greed for money and fame.

  8. Walsh, you have emotional problems that you to look at. The problem isn't the guy or Armstrong, its always you! Are you really stupid enough to think there are no other blatant cheaters out there? They all are doing it!

  9. The fact this guy admits to seeking out anyone with Livestrong bands and said he was frustrated when he couldn't convert a supporter against him. That says a lot about his agenda and whitchunt he was on. Yeah we know that Lance used EPO but he clearly had a hard-on for Lance and what will he do now???

  10. Walsh should be grateful to Armstrong, Armstrong gave Walsh a career, made him famous!! Walsh has/had an unhealthy obsession with Armstrong. Armstrong was a doper NOT a serial murderer!!
