so I’m going to put this very bluntly now that there is a $4.5 million cap increase does it make sense to even trade all Mark now he’s been rumors I mean multiple teams he’s been rumored to be possibly dealt to Ottawa was recently just talked about LA Kings prior I know he was in trade talks I think even beforehand I think he nicked like like nope not moving to those destinations in midseason he said no to both of them and you know there’s going to be multiple rumors until he’s either a public statement’s made that he’s staying or he’s eventually traded but with this $4.5 million bump do you keep all mark because and maybe this is a weird way of looking at it really you’d only be gaining 500k from the salary cap you’re looking at it but I mean maybe you’re like okay well if we trade all Mark and with that additional bump we can bring in a couple Big Time Players to get us over the hump and you don’t want pay two goalies so much money I think this definitely secures Swan getting locked up regardless of what happens ifar is traded or not but uh it just it does open certain possibilities that you could go out there get yourself a very solid player uh and just be back in the thick of things yet again in the Eastern Conference while the ending wasn’t great for the Bruins and there’s holes on this roster for sure I don’t think one offseason is going to solve them you just got to keep drafting well and keep hoping these players develop and get better over time you know for what the Bruins did this past season uh they overachieved in a lot of ways but as for you know olark I think this is this is something I’ve gone back and forth on and it’s not because I’m trying to be like John KY and just twist in the wind or like any politician I should say they all do it it’s like omark a damn good goalie but then on the flip side you have Jeremy Swan so it’s like you can’t pay two there’s you know I know tandems are a big thing now but I I do believe in having that number one goalie and I think Swingman proved in the playoffs he has the capability to do that it’s like I’m torn because I love the chemistry I do I love the chemistry the Synergy between these Sports Net special um on olark to hug again I think it was called or something of that nature I definitely encourage you to look it up it it was a very well done piece by them but uh he’s a guy you just want to cheer for especially considering all the uh things he had to overcome you know in Buffalo how much of a train wreck that whole organization was when he was there you know to me he’s a guy you want to see succeed and I I I think I think he’s still like an elite goenda trade an elite goenda goal tender waiting in the wings I understand it it’s it’s a situation now with this 4.5 million you you could just keep him and add one more piece and then that’s the last year of his deal and he’ll definitely move on after that I mean there there’s two there’s a couple different philosophies like you just keep them you trade them now try to get something in return before his contract expires so you get some type of return like if you can get a first round pick which has been rumored by otta which first round pick chck and another piece has been rumored which I think for a goenda great goalie but goenda uh but then on the flip side you know I wouldn’t you know so I could understand that type of trade but then if you keep them I get it as well because you’re keeping up like the keeping one of the best tandems in the league together to compete again and you still have some cap flexibility to bring in another Center most likely and maybe it’d be nice another piece take you over the top now again I think the Bruins are going to need at least a couple years in development and draft correct like having some guys win the system like a big guy for the Bruins that you need to see develop and needs to make the big Club in my opinion would be lysel uh he has put up solid numbers and Providence but at some point in time you need to see him I’m Matthew ptra liked what you saw from him so I don’t know rambly video apologize I’m just such a beautiful day so in mind a little scatter brain but you know I can understand both reasonings why you would trade them why you would keep them and I’m flip-flopping like crazy cuz I like omark but I also understand the rationale of dealing him because you could get even more assets and considering the Bruins have dealt away a lot of their draft Capital to go for these late season like these playoff pushes last few seasons uh it would be good to at least get a first round draft pick this season and with Ottawa pretty damn relatively high draft pick actually so but that’s my thought on things I’m going to God I love my job I’m
