Boy Morgan Rielly sure has been through hell in his time as a Leaf eh? He even took a discount to stay here when he signed his extension back in 2021. This sub has some people who want him gone but I hope he’s a Leaf for life

I went to the last home game of that season and it was the worst nhl game I’ve ever witnessed. Mailing it in would have been an extreme understatement. Only went because tickets were given to me, can’t imagine paying to watch these guys.

Nylander getting called up was the first game I watched that year.
I’ve watched 70+ games a season from 2009 – now but I could not bring myself to watch that team ahah.
I remember loosely following but the only players that mattered were Kadri and Rielly. The rest were gone

I just saw this too and was going to post it. This is a super important Leafs team!
Fun fact: this game was the LAST NHL game for 5 players. Colin Greening, Brad Boyes, Tobias Lindberg, TJ Brennan, and Andrew Campbell.
And only 2 players from this team (other than Willy and Mo) are still in the NHL. Byron Froese has played a handful of games for the Lightning, Habs, Flames, and this season played 16 games for Vegas. And Sam Carrick didn’t play another NHL game until 2018-19 with the Ducks, and only played 28 games between this game, and the 21-22 season in Anaheim. And he most recently suited up for game 2 of the cup final for the Oilers!
