I remember back in 89' when I lived in San Diego I was riding my morey body board at sunset cliffs on a 10 foot day while waiting for a wave I accidentally hit something with my fin about a minute later a shark fin popped up about 30 feet away from me. I yelled shark and too the coming wave in to get to shore as fast as possible. We had bad problems with great whites even then but it didn't look like a great white fin. More like a leapord shark. But they did catch an 8 foot baby white from the pier by where we used to surf.
You guys need a drone operator when you hit the waves for security for sharks. Specially in warm waters.

I was at a local beach years ago with a friend, we were both in water that was maybe just above my belly button (i'm 6'3)
I thought I saw a shark at first & said "SHARK!!" & went to get out & my friend thought I was joking, but then we saw the fin come up again & it was a dolphin, just cruising down the shallow part of the beach passing by us & it was maybe 1.5 metres from me when I first saw it thinking it was a shark lol
