I want both players back but I Hroneks agent has huge dollar signs in his eyes. Now maybe all the push back and lack of movement makes them see reality a little bit. If so then let’s sign them both if not A trade is needed and I’m not really sure what the league thinks of Hronek but Martin Necas straight across is not going to happen.

A big, veteran, bottom pairing D? Sure. If Hronek wants too much money, move him out. It's the reality of the cap situation. Either get a 1st round pick and something or a winger for Pettersson. They can probably get Pesce for much cheaper and he'd be a fit with Hughes. Bring back Zadorov, and there should be enough for Myers AND Joshua. I'd love to bring back Lindholm, but he'd be a 3rd line shutdown centre and there's no way with the amount of money he'd be asking that it would make sense.
Hronek does not have the personality to last in Vancouver. Playing hardball with the team that gave up good assets and traded for you, you don't return the favor by asking for far more than what your value is. Hronek was invisible in the playoffs and not worth over 6 million per.
