It’s the final top 5 prospects of the season. Who finishes on top of the New York Islanders prospect pool? You can probably guess no.1 but what about the other four?
1. Raty 2. Salo 3. Holmstrom 4. Iskhakov 5. Dufour 6.Samuel Bolduc 7. Parker Wotherspoon 8. Alex Jeffries (also our most overlooked prospect had a 27 and 22 NHLe as an 18 and 19 year old in the hockey East on a bad Marrimack team) 9. Jakub Skarek 10. Otto Koivula
I think this would be better if you added age or draft class to the NHLE scoring. I'm going to give you mine with a little different standard. If you are going to include Wotherspoon, then I'm going to include that class and all after it, making this a U25 list. It shows the Isles in a little more positive light. 1. 2015 Barzal (NHL ALL STAR) 2. 2018 Dobson (NHL 50PT D) 3. 2015 Beauvillier (NHL 20G 40P F) 4. 2021 Raty (SM-Liiga) 5. 2018 Wahlstrom (NHL 15G F) 6, 2017 Salo (AHL) 7, 2017 Aho (NHL) 8, 2019 Holmstrom (AHL) 9.,2016 Koivula(AHL) 10. 2018 Iskahkov(DEL)
These wouldn't all be considered "PROSPECTS" by most standards but they are U25 players with upside. The Isles have gotten at least one player to NHL FT status from every draft since 2008. It's a bit unfair to charcterize their prospect pool as only the players who have less than 80 games in the NHL. These players have not reached their potential and allow the Islanders to maintain a solid internal depth chart.
Raty…Salo…Wotherspoon…Skarek…Holmstrom(for now). I wish Iskahakov size was not going to be a determining factor…but honestly it will be…he would be lost among the trees in the nhl…sorry Mitch I know you love his skills(So do I) but facts are facts he will find employment in Europe.

Which PNHLe site or source do you use? Thanks and great video!
One big detail about your channel, you say all the names correctly. I can't wait for people to stop saying "Ratty".

Fantastic video Mitch, love how passionate you are. Hopefully Dufour and a few others exceed these expectations.

Interesting that some NHL scouts have Dufour as our top prospect
