  1. Abols, 28 (1/5/96), recorded 26 points (14g-12a) in 50 games with the Rögle BK of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) during the 2023-24 season.

A former 7th round pick from Vancouver in 2016, Abols signed his ELC with Florida in 2019 only return to Europe during the pandemic.

I’ll never be against throwing as many darts at big bottom of the lineup players as possible. Size is important but it doesn’t necessarily have to be your entire lineup. Having bigger depth guys makes it somewhat easier to justify drafting/acquiring smaller skilled guys IMO

  3. Flyers continue to add massive European forward depth pieces.

    Abols: 6’4; 205lbs

    Eklind: 6’4; 220lbs

Edit: “massive” as in… large bodies.

So are we gonna trade DLo or something? Or just stick him in the AHL to call up if anyone gets injured?

Beautiful!!! I LOVE this!!! I can’t wait for the next season to see Abols play for Flyers!!!

  6. This guy is one of top players for Team Latvia, one of the leaders for bronze medal team in last years WC. Last two years for Latvia 20GP 9G 8A.

Very nice addition you got there.

His name spelled backwards is Sloba Ogirdor which sounds like a Star Wars. What I’m trying to say is he’s gonna score 30 goals.
