Pens should only take a chance on Laine if it’s like 1-2 mil.

Laine will be back to himself after the dry out …He will definately be moved for the best deal …Not a good fit for Montreal but they could get in on a 3 way deal ….Habs need draft picks and under 25 year old players while working out of several more older contracts …
I feel like all the youtubers are missing the mark with Laine, either saying hes worth a 1st round pick, and a prospect etc, or money will have to be retained, teams like Utah and Chicago have like 40 million in cap space, so they can take the 2 yrs and 8.7 per and wont have to pay a premium to get him, thats the most logical outcome, why would they send him to Pittsburgh and keep money, when theres gonna be teams willing to take the whole contract?

Just seems Carolina wants to trade Nacas based on his "potential" stardom ? As a Habs fan, I don't think they will touch Laine with a 10 ft pole !
This guy doesn't understand how LTIR works. He needs to look more closely how it does. LTIR contracts have to be factored in when you start the season. Its why teams trade for LTIR cap to meet the cap floor. LTIR is calculated after the cap for the team, not before.
The LA Kings could use a guy like Tanner Jeannot.

They have enough high end contracts they don't need to dig a bigger hole. The salary cap went up but that doesn't mean you dig the hole bigger for a player that's not going to bring the much needed physicality they desperately need.. Tanner Jeannot is the player they should be trying to go after and stick with the rebuild instead of banking on Laine!
Laine to NJ to play along Jack Hughes. He fits in with the core and won't cost that much as the Devils will be taking a gamble on a player that has not been as dominant since his first 3 yrs in the league

I'd like to know all of this Pierre Luc Dubois/Patrick Laine thing got started, but, it's certainly a Strange Situation of the game Hot Potato (it's sadly comical – I don't know if anyone will be in agreement). I don't know who, if any team, got the short end of the stick, including but not limited to My Rangers, who got Jack Roslovic, who, at one bit, was thought to have been The Sleeper in the deal. Let me know what you think
