QUESTION OF THE DAY — Do YOU Think The Blackhawks Should Try To Pursue Patrik Laine This Offseason? Also, Drop YOUR Thoughts On Prospect Sacha Boisvert!
No way on Laine, we got rid of one problem player in Perry don’t need another one. We don’t have what it takes to get Necas wishful thinking though.
I'm on board with Laine at full salary but id make CBJ throw in Kent Johnson otherwise id make CBJ retain salary on Laine. Guentzels too old pass & Necas Chicago has no assests agreed
I think given the Hawks cap space and the fact they want to get more talent in top 6, I think whether it be Marner, Necas, Laine, Reinhart, Guentzel or maybe to a lesser degree a Zegras, Marchessault type, but I think for sure atleast one if not two of these names, and I'd like some size in the middle six maybe two players like Domi, Joshua, Jeannot
I'm not a huge Liane fan but do think he is a great buy low candidate. Contract fits the current window and if he he rehits his ceiling again he could fetch another return next deadline. He has all the incentive to do so.
Same with Kuzmenko on a middle six role.
Congratulation on being one of the few non-Quebecois hockey fans who know how to pronounce Sacha Boisvert's name correctly. 😃
Sacha Boisvert should definitely be in the discussion for the Blackhawks No. 18 pick. KD and the scouting staff will have to compare and discuss him along with other excellent prospects that are likely to be available at No. 18: Liam Greentree, Igor Chernyshov, Michael Hage, Adam Jiricek, Stian Solberg, and Jett Luchanko.
I wouldn't trade anything higher than a 4th round pick for Laine.
If the cost is a middle round pick, I’m down to take the risk on Laine. If it doesn’t workout, we can move on pretty easily since it’s a short term contract
Jack… picks 7,10,11 in rd1 being shopped… if we take on a significant bad contract say $6-7M/yr for next 2yrs + pick 18… these teams want help now. What better help than 7M to sign a strong free agent… we are then in a position to take Demidov at 2 & one of the top tier defensemen w/other high 1st rounder… how does this not seem perfect?
Laine if healthy would be great with Bedard. I think you would have to give up a third pick. Demetov is a unknown and Leshonov underwhelming with his stick handling and shot. I'm trading 2 to Montreal for 5 and 26. Inigla or Lindstrom would be the Hawks should target . People are sleeping on Iginla. 11:23
