I have nothing against Isbel, but can we stop pretending that he's the 2nd coming of Jim Edmonds with the glove in CF? 🤦🏾
Isbel is no doubt a solid big league defensive CF, but he is not exceptional. In yesterday's game he took the worst route I've seen from a Royals CF in a long time – he ends up diving and completely whiffing on the play.
All in all, Isbel's defense is not so good that it suffices for his below average offense. He's a 4th OF (at best) on a championship roster.
