  1. ONE MASSIVE BRAIN CRAMP FROM BOUCHARD WAS THE DIFFERENCE! 2 SHOTS ON 5 PP.s…BROWN GLORIOUS CHANCE…..WE HAD OUR CHANCES! WE SHOULDVE PUT IT AWAY IN THE FIRST!!

  2. I keep on hearing they were tired….The coach needs to do something about it….He needs to give the 3rd n 4th line more ice time, they were playing good!

Vancouver now leads the series 3 games to 2. I couldn't watch or listen to the game. I'm actually home now but we had a scheduled power outage between 9 PM and 3 AM so no game, no nothing (sigh). I mean even sports bars were shut down due to power disruption. Going just from the stats Vancouver shot more, hit a LOT more (more than double), and won a lot more faceoffs. Neither team's PP was firing but PK's were both 100%. The rest was basically irrelevant and the level of stats I post. The goal with 33 seconds to go by Miller sealed the deal for a Canucks win. As near as I can tell Pickard played great but the rest of the team didn't. Oilers must now win the next 2 games to move on to round 3. Take care all.

  4. Who to blame?? Blame this one on local Edmonton fans & local media for endlessly propping up their local boy Skinner when they had an actual talented goalie in Calvin the whole time!!!!!

Oilers wouldn’t be in this situation if their fans demanded a goalie with some talent at stopping shots. Even when the Oilers defense played excellent they blamed the defense instead of Skinner. Didn’t matter if the defense limited SOG to below 20 in a game… they were always the scapegoat to protect Skinners reputation as a good goalie. When they got really mad they’d blame the goalie coach. These fans don’t deserve a Cup. They’d rather pretend a local boy “done good” is the objective here.

  5. This game was ours but we p!$$%d it away! Early lead. Brown great opportunity missed, "3" shots on "5 PPs", massive brain fart by Bouchard, and bad change and confusion at the bench on winning goal cost us this game. I dont buy into the "OILERS ARE TIRED" mentality. Canucks should be tired too!? If only we capitalized on all our opportunities in the 1st period? we easily win the game! We just needed to bare down and score on those opportunities, and then hang on the rest of the game, exhausted or not! Going into next game, and beyond, how well the coach manages the lines is gonna be key! ….. Imo, last night the 3rd & 4th line were playing really good (exception Cory Perry) and especially the 4th line, these lines should've been given more ice so our stars didn't have to play so much. The Coach needs to solve this issue for the next game. The plan should be to try and score early a couple goals or so and make the 3rd /4th lines play more, especially in the 2nd period where Vancouver seems to start owning the game and have their way! In the 3rd period, the stars can be used more heavily to control the play and put the Canucks away! Anyway, this should be the strategy imo.. Lastly, Perry should be benched!. Its bad enough we are getting hemmed in and hes TOO SLOW to help out! Its like its a PP when he's out there! Put Carrick or Gags in!

  6. It all starts with the Centre. Notice how 97,29, and 10 are constantly in fierce forechecking/grinding battles behind the net? Youll never see 71 doing this even though physicality is a critical part of being a centre. This is whats holding back 90 and 37.
Vancouvers third line centre has 9 pts and is a +3 these playoffs. Our third line centre has 0 points and is -2. This is why vancouver will win. Lindolm can go out and score against mcdavids line. Mcloed cant go out and score against millers line.
3C has been out weakness all season long .

  7. Out of 9 games since the start of the season, Oilers have won 2, and were outscored overall by a hefty margin. And of those 2….one went to OT, and the other was VERY close right to the end.

Someone please explain to me how the Oilers are better?

perfect example of how the collective ego restricts fundamental logic from the human brain.
