Two way/ One way ?
Even if you think Ginning is a bad NHLer, or a mediocre prospect, or has no NHL future, a rebuilding team should rather be giving a guy like him NHL minutes instead of a Staal/EJ type of veteran.
Maybe, just maybe, Ginning has a career arc like Nick Seeler’s. It’s worth the shot. A rebuilding team should be open to experimenting with younger, fringe prospects like this rather than wasting minutes on horrific veterans.

I like this. I think when he was up here he held his own and was fairly solid given the circumstances. He definitely needs to work on his breakouts but our coaches have done wonders with these blue liners so far imo. Very coachable.
He’s looked good to me so far, I think given a shot he could be a pretty solid, pretty steady defenseman. His physicality is also definitely a plus. Good for him, glad he’s locked up and gets at least a few more kicks at the can.
Imo… he’s a cheaper Risto. He should be our 6/7 D man this season.

He looked good in a small sample size this year. Happy to see him get a shot.
