8-1. WTF?

The Edmonton Oilers came into Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals facing elimination and crushed the Florida Panthers 8-1 in what was a crazy game in Canada. #hockey #stanleycupfinal #nhlplayoffs

  1. Anyone that is shocked by this probably thinks Biden is sharp as a tack. The Panthers get to win at home with another gate payout and ABC gets another payout.

  2. NO LESS than 120 MILLION DOLLARS MADE EVERY PLAYOFF GAME…. Secondly, I think Florida gave this game away just to bring it home

  3. It's like the same thing that happened to the Celtics. I think up 3 on the road when the home team gets a good lead going everybody starts thinking well we got 3 already and we're going home so we're good. I'm a Celtics fan so I was def pissed like how could they do that with the trophy in the building! After this though I was like yea I guess it's just human nature to start feeling comfortable even though you shouldn't. Neither team def didn't try to throw on purpose though lol.

  4. Did they take it easy or were we finally playing our game sure we’re still in the shit house but it isn’t over till the horn goes. Im still proud of our Edmonton boys to take us to the finals

  5. Just the facts man…. Panthers want to win the cup at home, game 5 in FL will generate MILLIONS of dollars and the owners know that… believe me…. they understand that. What they did, why they did, how they did it…. don't know don't care. Just looking at the obvious.

  6. With the way Skinner plays …. next game could easily be the same score for the Panthers. Florida has got this. This game was fairly meaningless.

  7. This whole series has been a back and forth. Both are excellent teams trying to impose their will and while the posts were helpful i think we can see from the composure of the Oilers following the near miss on Verhaege tying it up that they weren't gonna take no for an answer this game. 17-4 shots in the second tells me that.

And Oilers fans sure did expect this. Sure some dont wanna see their hearts broken, but that because we've fought. Despite the rumors Florida is not blowing Edmonton away even when they're winning. The Panthers are holding on for dear life just as often as the Oil. It isnt a fluke Edmonton made the Finals, they're offense is historically great this season and thats because theyre not a one line team and theyre best game is as good as anyones.

    Its been great hockey.

  8. people say McJesus is overrated.
McJesus broke the all time record having the most assist in the playoffs of Gretzky yesterday.
    people are so dumb

  9. Honestly it's super naive to say a goal scored after a post was hit was a lucky break. You'd have an argument if the puck went off the post and flew 200 feet into the opposite net, but that didn't happen. There were several plays in between the two events. Not only that, but McDavid hit a post early too. Just silly.

  10. even though the oilers are very likely to lose, i just think it's hilarious how everyone was making videos saying how terrible they were doing(which they were) but then they manage to pull out an 8-fucking-1 win outta nowhere lmao that shit is crazy lol

  11. 😂😂😂😂😂

It was always going to be a sweep. That the Oilers won a game is a modern miracle.

By EOD Tuesday, EDM will be no better than Toronto.

  12. 2:04 There IS extra credit in making two goalies cry in 60 minutes. We cracked Sergei like the precious egg he is. Shots were even pretty much the whole game, yet they could only score one. Florida's luck has run out and now Edmonton is coming for that cup.

EVERY. SINGLE. GOAL. Was pretty. It was intentional. Edmonton didn't have "puck luck", and Skinner nearly saved that only goal by Florida. The tip was just right; otherwise, Skinner would have had an 8-0 shutout against 30+ shots on net. Every single line scored for Edmonton.

    Cats can't swim in Oil.

  13. 😅Panthers want the cup at home, the nhl most likely told them to take the loss so not to embarrass canada in 4. I said it in game one panthers in 5

  14. THis is likely a bump in the road on the way to the panthers winning the cup but…..
The oilers get a couple quick goals on Bob in game 5 and I think his confidence is shot. Oil win game 5 and it’s a new series.

  15. The Oilers went top shelf on Brobovsky, which is his weak spot. They just need to keep doing that.

  16. They threw the game trust me. I’m a Panthers fan, not the first time Maurice has let them throw a game, he admitted it in a presser before playoffs.

  17. Bob carried florida here. Florida only loses if bob has 4 bad games in a row which isnt going to happen. Im fine with florida winning cause its in Canada 90% of the time and i grew up with ekblad

  18. I bet u it's the same story. The Oilers first went to Florida and went on vaca . Had booze , strip clubs, beaches, murrica fast food. Gained 10 pounds partying & fatty foods.then that fucked up the first 2 games. Then coach made them get on normal diet for the next 2 games since they were back in Edmonton they didn't have the murrica diet of supersize me portions. And less booze & beach time. U can see they scored 3 then 8 goals. However when the panthers got to Edmonton . They went went partying and clubbing and stayed up for 2 days at Y.after hours doing uppers then downers in the parking lot lol. Then they played this game and sucked ass . Seriously. could be true. Or this whole thing is rigged for sports betting like taldega nights the movie

  19. No one knows what the fuck will happen next game. Ideal is the home team winning. Is Edmonton gonna roll over Florida next game again? Anything can always happen.

  20. I don't know what happened either. I don't think anyone does. Did they get complacent? Did the Defense think that they had it on the bag and let their guard down? Florida have had high scoring games all series long and only had one goal that game? What happened?

I think Edmonton knows this too, that they got really lucky and it's not gonna happen again. They know the odds are against them at this point. The Dallas Mavericks has the same deal with the Boston Celtics. Adrenaline kicked in and they decided they weren't gonna put up with a shutout but I suppose that's the odds as well.

Could the Panthers have said: What are we doing here? We want to win the Cup on home ice? It's possible but, they had family in the stands for the big night and the looks on their face and the frustration that was there, that you usually saw with Edmonton wanting to pick fights to throw the best players off the ice and staying calm, Florida became that. Who knows what happened but, ain't gonna happen again
