Montour clean check on Janmark

Brandon Montour stays super low and is able to drive a moving Mattias Janmark up and over the boards with pure strength and positioning. This is how it’s done.

  1. Sometimes plays I post look very clean and you’re not even sure what to look for, and you’re not wrong. It’s because they are. I like to post clean play as well, whether it be monstrous but clean, or seemingly mundane like this one. Using this technique at this speed leads to a routine play like this. Using this same technique at higher speeds leads to a destructive but legal impact. The point being, whether this play is done at high speed or low speed it should look the same. No need to rise up or explode up into contact, or drive the hands out, or leave your feet, or any of the things people try to justify. If you’re not sure which it is, look for “clean check” in the title.
