OK.. lets look at that 16 game winning streak.. Only 3 of those wins were against teams that ended up making the playoffs.. The majority were against the bottom 10 of the league.
EDM was 10-16 this year against the top 10 in the league.. they're not winning 4 in a row against the 5th seed in the SCF..

Game 4 has made me believe in the oilers but hasnāt changed the overall eventual end verdict. Now if we win game 5, that changes my mindset as a whole bringing it back to Edmonton. Then itās if we win game 6 I donāt think thereās stopping Edmonton in game 7
It goes without saying that it's almost impossible for the Oilers to come back and win this series. Florida is an incredible team, with a great goalie and a genius coach, there's no way… Right? There was a similar feeling in November for the chances the Oilers would even make the playoffs. First time they lose 3 straight under Knoblauch they go on to win 8 straight. Yeah but then that's not gonna happen more than once. The next time they lost 3, they go on a win streak of 16 games. They lost 3 in a row once more in the regular season, going 5 straight wins after. It definitely seems unlikely, then again it seemed unlikely they could make the playoffs, win 16 in a row… And who ever imagined a Gretzky playoff record to fall? I'm not hopeful, but I am hoping. If they can somehow win tomorrow, can you ask the same question?
