Newhook is good. But comparing the numbers of someone playing on a 3rd line on a cup contending team with a Top 6 guy with a ton of PP opportunities isn’t really fair

Again completely out of context. Cherry picking at its finest…. Necas has PPG potential and his eye test looks like potential star player, Newhook is and does look like middle 6 player, 2nd liner at best. Necas might become 1st liner…

good analysis, i agree, newhook with the same minutes as necas can absolutely replicate similar production. habs should save their assets to load up for a bonafide first liner, not a second liner with an outlier season.
