NHL hockey seems so much closer to Baseball than Football in that its hard to get into the draft because it takes too long to reach the big leagues. Part of the reason Football is King.
Letang is humble, but at this point, he's a more important player than Geno (although I hope Geno gets done too)………….Pickering has a face of the franchise quality about him. Obviously, that's far down the road and his play will dictate that. But he's one of the most well spoken 18 year olds i've seen.
The extra year works for everyone. Classy moves in Montreal. Big kid, big shot, I like the potential.

This draft pick will be an interesting one…yea he's got size….if you are referring to height..he's a stick figure now and i think much of this depends on if he is able to effectively become bigger and stronger. and will be durable (stuff you need in the playoffs)…for now, he's another marino and peddersson who just get run over out there. he is 6'4 and only 180 i think! i think we wont know about him for a couple years…really poised kid and i guess he's got some mad skills. this is where the team trainers really can be important i think
