Don’t think we can afford anybody else aside from Myers at this point. Blueger maybe if he takes term over money.

He said all, not any. Maybe a bit of hope yet for a team friendly deal for one of em

We don’t want them all. We didn’t make it passed the 2nd round. We want some new guys.

āallā definitely more encouraging than āanyā of them lol
maybe weāll get a surprise with someone other than Myers taking way less to stay, seems like they havenāt closed the door on Zadorov yet

If itās between Zadorov or Joshua now, Iād rather take Joshua for his chemistry with Garland and heās been with us longer. Itās probably gonna be an overpay for a 4th liner turned 3rd liner but he does deserve to get paid for his amazing season. š«”

Go for the big fish, re-sign a couple key support players and hope we strike gold elsewhere:
1. Guentzel – $9.1M x 8 years 2. Myers – $2.9M x 3 years 3. Blueger – $2.2M x 2 years

I know weāve become attached to these players but I think this is the smart decision. A lot of people became reactionary after the playoffs and wanted to keep Zad over Hronek but keeping Hronek was a good decision. I trust PA and Rutherford.

Sign Zadorov, make that the priority.
Lunaticfrizz16
Myers, Blueger, Joshua, Guentzle should be the priority.

Losing all of Lindholm, Joshua and Zadorov will hurt. Three of our best playoff performers and three of our toughest players. Need to keep Zadorov even if it’s an overpay, without him this team is way too soft.

Scrap em all.
After Hronek’s contract, and maybe 1 more (Guentzal, if it’s to be believed), team is out of space to be signing contracts that are merely “fair”. Team needs to start swinging for some home runs, “best contract in the league” kind of stuff, either with rookies or buy low candidates.

Silov and Myers should be next in line to sign before July 1st. My guess is 1.25M per /2yr for Silov and 3Mper /2yr for Myers.
CaptainIndoCanadian
Myers, Blueger, Hronek will be the returning players. Bet the house on it.
I hope Guentzel doesnāt come above 9.5M. Should be able to round out the roster with the rest fairly easily

I rather lose UFAs than pay too much to keep them.

Lindholm is gone. He seemed to like it here and was great in the playoffs, but he will get a big ticket from someone to be the 1st or 2nd line center. Those positions are locked up in Van. He deserves to be paid, and someone will pay him top line money.
Zadorov is a bit of a wild card. Someone might offer him big money, and as much as the guy is loved in Vancouver, he won’t be worth as much as he can potentially get. If PA and JR can work out some lower $ and maybe longer term, he’ll be welcome back with open arms.
I could see Joshua taking a team friendly deal to stay in a spot he seems to like and play with line mates he likes, but he also just had a career year that has earned him the right to set himself and his family up for the future. I don’t want to see an overpay because of a career year.
I hope PA and JR can figure something out with Joshua or Zadorov but won’t be too disappointed if both are gone. It’s a business, and unfortunately, players move on.
