It can never hurt to interview a young player who has some questions in his past. If he were rated a top talent no team would pass on an interview with such a guy. I think Lou still has the judgement to decide if the player can change for the better.
Before i start i just want to bring up a video out talking about ovi chasing gretz goal scoring record. One dude, probably a sour caps fan, said ovi is a better goal scorer than bossy ever was and that according to some adjusted gpg avg. shit he did bossy wouldn't even be in the top 50 all-time. Mr. i just stand in the left circle and shoot there all game lazy goal scorer is better than bossy who could score goals in a multitude of ways all with a chronic bad back? haha to that.
And connolly could be a possibility at 20 if isles keep the pick. Dropping on the boards connolly has scoring talent, but flags are there. Unfortunate he and the team that drafts connolly will be vilified for a dumb mistake he made by today's unforgiving types. Doesn't seem like a louzer type pick so no chance isles take perhaps the second best player behind cerebrini this draft. Too bad because isles need scoring talent badly. Some team may use a later round pick on connolly and take their chances later. Different situation-garth drafted falling talent due to character issues kabanov in third round of '10 draft. Once again that pick will be gone as today's rumour have isles in on marner again (deal for 8 as if) if he doesn't sign extention with laffs or hopefully for a much needed scorer
And barzal had a fine season getting back to near ppg for first time since roy season. 13 still leaves you wanting more and wondering what he could do with a legit goal scorer on his wing?
Gil you said he needs to bulk up, but didn't you said we need speed on this team?

Next season starts a little earlier than usual when exactly remains to be seen. I hope The Panthers polished their claws for tonight. Draft Prispects Trevor Connelly 18 years old 3 goals, 78 points in 2 seasons. He's got the talent, never said otherwise; however, he needs to bulk up. He plays smart 🏒, but he's got a temper, and doesn't use his head sometimes, and as I said before, if he gets drafted, and he eventually makes the team, Lou Lamoriello and especially Patrick Roy better have a sit-down with this kid. Matthew Barzal, 23 goals. 80 points -4. He put on a clinic at the ASG. I always said Barzal puts me in mind of Trots when he's on his game, but at the same ⌚ he's 27 years old at the prime of his career, but I don't want him to be stressed out and feel pressured every time he looks 👆 and sees #19 hanging in the rafters. HAPPY 🎂, DAVE FORTIER. He was there for The Islanders first winning season, and great first playoff appearance to go with it. He went one on one with Dave Schultz and held his own. Hi 👋 Gil, how are you? It’s been a while that I been on but have been busy. I think Mathew Barzal had his best season and would have done even better if he was with horvat all the time 🎉overall the islanders had a good season!! I just got back from San Diego California. Nypd baseball ⚾️ team won another championship 🎉🎉 Scotty won his game 3 to 2 and pitched all 7 innings. We went to petco park and the San Diego zoo. Very beautiful!! It was hotter in New York than San Diego lol all the players and coaches had a nice time. The next tournament in September we go to Chicago. Scotty throwing Saturday at glover stadium 1 pm in Pomona New York. That’s the field he played on with college. Feel better 😘 it sounds like you have a cold.
I would say Barzy's best season was last season or the 2017-2018 season. Both seasons were statistically similar. I hope that he will exceed those totals next season. We are really going to need his production as we do not have a great group of top 6 forwards on the roster at this point. Thanks for the great coverage Gil. LGI
Good morning team. Gil, how are we doing this morning? Hopefully better from your illness. Barzy had a very good season. Is it his best? I'm not really too sure about that. This guy has not reached his level yet. Statistically, probably his best. I wish he would have had more consistency at playing on his highest level of the season. We don't know what he is capable of yet. His best play is yet to come, but of course, he'll need his teammates, and hopefully they can elevate each other's play. Thank you, Gil.
