Butcher Signs Two Year Deal with Devils

This is a smart move by both sides. That’s been happening a lot in this off season.

  1. It's really funny how the Devils signed the free agent that Colorado lost, and that Colorado signed the free agent that the Devils lost.

It sorta works out as a trade.

Free agents aside, draft dodging needs to be addressed in 2020, because lately teams have been losing talent as a result of draftees not signing with the teams that drafted them. The draft was created to establish a parity between all teams in the league. If these types of scenarios are going to become more common, they will do nothing but hurt the NHL.

  2. if the Devils use the cap as a trade asset and take on a player like big Joe or Statsny, someone with a huge contracting ending next season

  3. We're still a year away from playoffs, but now with Butcher, along with Nico, Hall, Palmieri, Johansson, Zacha, along with Mcleod, Speers, and hopefully another good draft pick this year, I think our future is looking brighter than it has in a long long time!

  4. Why r u wearimg a rangers hat in a devils vid xD Hype tho, devils gonna be half decent this year, maybe even make the playoffs if were lucky

  5. Couldn't throw on the Devils hat for this vid? Had to wear the Rags hat?? 😜 That's it, I'm sending you a new Devils hat 🎩

  6. Talking about the New Jersey Devils in a Ranger cap….Not cool dude. Go Devils!!!!!! =)

  7. Hopefully Butcher and Santini play great so that the Devils doesn't have to play that brutal Moore – Lovejoy pairing 2nd pair minutes

  8. I love the signing. I think his ceiling is maybe a decent to good level, middle pairing D-man but I'll take that every day of the week. He's still a prospect and he's still got a lot of work ahead of him but he's had a lot of work done already, this doesn't make the Devils a playoff contender by any means but its just another layer to add to the foundation. You can never have too many promising prospects.
