Paul Maurice, Florida Panthers Land in Edmonton: Stanley Cup Final vs. Oilers, Game 6

The Panthers are coming off a 5-3 loss to the Edmonton Oilers in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final in Sunrise on Tuesday night.

Florida has dropped the past two games but remain a win away from the Stanley Cup and holds a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Game 6 of the Cup Final is Friday at 8 p.m. (ABC) in Edmonton.

Edmonton took a 3-0 lead by the second before the Panthers started coming back. Matthew Tkachuk made it 3-1, with Evan Rodrigues making it 4-2 after 40. Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored 5 minutes into the third, but Connor McDavid ended with two goals and four points including an empty-netter to ice the game.

  1. It happened this year and last year. Last year, Vegas won the first three against Dallas, lost the next two, closed it out on the third attempt. The Rangers this year, won the first three against Carolina, lost the next two, closed it out on the third attempt. Third time is a charm as they say. Let’s do it tomorrow!!

  2. I would love to just be in a room having a conversation between Maurice and Bob. Those two have to be the wisest and well-spoken people on the Panthers team. Pick up the momentum you ended game 5 with!!!!

  3. the Oliers are so damn good, they have Paul reflecting on his Cosmic Insignificance. In the human world, NHL championships do have significance… and meaning.

  4. Mainstream media fake news as the most dumb questions. They often try to put words in the players and coaches mouths. Like how does the other team feel. Go ask them you dumfuk! I would rather have AI asking the questions. Sports reporters are garbage these days. Paul Maurice and Rick Tochet are some of the best with these idiots.
