Re: Habs & Laine: I admit I am conflicted on this. Lots of moving parts….Laine's contract, is he healthy mentally, is he still wanting to play in NHL i.e. is the "spark" still there or is he burned out?? And….we are dealing with Waddell too….not very Habs-friendly after the KK fiasco. Habs (& other teams) need to talk directly to the player before they make an offer. If he's healthy and the zeal is there, I like the idea of taking on his contract and switching the 4th & 5th picks, OR, making a trade for a young "D" and picks. Habs have a TON of draft capital the next 2 years. I'm thinking Gorton & Hughes will try and parlay some of that capital into some major "F" upgrades.
