ELLIOTTE FRIEDMAN SPEAKS OUT ON ELIAS LINDHOLM & THE BOSTON BRUINS (Vancouver Canucks News)

[Music] is anybody surprised no way nobody’s surprised at this right if you’ve been living under a rock you may be surprised oh why would the canu let this guy go he’s so good well everybody knows that he’s good he was great man when it comes to Elias Lindholm the guy had such a stellar postseason for the Vancouver conects he redeemed all of the negative emotions that were sent towards him after the Vancouver Canucks made the trade to get him he was sent over he played pretty okay in his first little stand he played awesome in his first game two goals right but then he completely trailed off turns out he was injured and then Andre Kenco went Calgary started scoring a bunch of goals and a lot of Canucks fans like me went out there and said that the team lost the trade and it was a bad one and they regreted and like okay maybe the Canucks didn’t regret it but I did as a fan watching this team I was like yeah look at Koozie he’s scoring goals now and now he’s looking great playing alongside of huberto and cadger but like Elias Lindholm the guy had a really tough go in the regular season with Vancouver eventually he sat out he was hurt he came back just before the playoffs scored some points and then when the playoffs began this is when Lindy lindhome showed off why the Vancouver connect sent away a first a conditional third two pro prospects and kzo for a rental piece lindol was amazing and while that is awesome to see that a guy had an amazing playoff performance with the Vancouver Canucks it’s a double-edged sword because he wants a lot of money and the Vancouver Canucks even though they were willing to go up to 7 by S to retain him and his Services he said no this guy would have been like third line Center if he had stayed with Vancouver maybe second line if he wanted to do JT with Pon if he wanted to do 649 lindol would be the second line player but no he wanted a lot of money the Canucks were willing to give 7 million bucks to a guy who would essentially be number three C but he wanted more which is understandable but at the same time disappointing for kuu fans who really fell in love with the way lindol was able to read the play shut down opposing offenses and score some clutch goals too in the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs now we had ourselves Oilers now with Bob stoer from earlier yesterday there was an episode or not really an episode it’s the entire show right but just on the Apple podcast they divided into multiple things here Ron mlan listener calls and text sportset color analyst Louis de bras get a lot of episodic breaks in the show but during the Elliot fredman portion of the June 20224 episode of Oilers now with Bob stoer 630 ched fredman actually said on the podcast okay maybe not the podcast it’s a podcast now but it was a radio show like yesterday but fredman said on the show that he’s leaning Boston for Elias lindome and that is not surprising Elliot fredman you know he’s not one to go out there and ever confirm or deny stuff that doesn’t happen but he’s allowed to have his opinions and he’s allowed to have his predictions so if he’s leaning Boston for Lindholm that is not surprising in the slightest we had made a few videos already talking about the idea of the Bruins going hard after lindol they were one of the teams that was vying for his Services back when he was a Calgary flame they wanted to make the trade they got out bid by Vancouver the Canucks got Lind home and then he had that Stellar playoff run but the Boston Bruins with their second round defeat at the hands of the Florida Panthers they really wanted Lindy Lind home for themselves too and this isn’t a new thing back when lindol was with the Calgary Flames I feel like we had been SE Boston Bruins talk linking him to them ever since the entire blow up of Calgary started everybody was talking about Johnny goodro and Matthew kachuck and backland and zadorov and TV and Hanahan and everything else and like everybody was talking about the guys that were going to leave but Boston was always in that lindhome conversation and it wasn’t surprising right he’s a good player Topline Center for Calgary at a point in time and the Boston Bruins say what you want about how good Charlie Coy and pav zaka were as players in the 2024 season it’s just not Lindholm lindol is better than those guys or at least he should be so for the Boston Bruins to go as far as they did with the center core that they had had losing out on berson and CI I get it you know they choked it away last year against the Florida Panthers team that inevitably made it to the stand the Cup finals and now they’re losing again this year to the inevitable Cup champions assuming the Oilers don’t mind to come back but the Brew for all intents and purposes have been great so could you imagine how even greater they could be if they had themselves a Topline Center like Lindholm not even saying that lindol is going to get back to 80o form like he had been in a few seasons ago when both kachuck and Gad got 100 points but lindol playing with David poock that sounds amazing lindol playing with marshan that sounds amazing I get it he had played very well with Dakota Joshua and Connor Garland but Dakota Joshua and Connor Garland are not marshan or poock you could say that the power play actually was good yeah no he played very well on the power play with besser py Miller Hughes there were a few goals that he had scored that were very clutch but either way Elias Lindholm knows that his value on the market is probably a bit more than what the Vancouver conects would be willing to give him not just in terms of the money but in terms of the opportunity you have a guy who is already in his late 20s he wants a contract that will hopefully set him for the rest of his life he’s 29 years old and and this is a player that if he gets that opportunity in Boston he’ll be a number one Center plain and simple he’s not beating out Pon or Miller in Vancouver so when it comes to everything that he could want from a team not just the higher dollar amount but the higher playing time the better opportunity better Lin mates too it makes so much sense for lindol to leave Vancouver and come over to Boston as much as it would hurt the Vancouver Canucks fan base to see him choose the bees over any other team this almost seems like a perfect fit I don’t know if there’s any other team that would be interested in Elias Lindholm that doesn’t have a center that would already be above Lindholm should he go to their team like if he goes over to Toronto for example he’s not playing above Taris he’s not playing above Matthews oh wait no Taris is going to leave right because they’re going to trade him away but either way Boston is one of these only teams where it’s like yeah they need a center they absolutely need one and for lindol he is that guy so let me know your thoughts in the comments section below about the bees being the main destination reportedly by Elliot fredman he’s leaning Boston for Elias Lindholm and what are your thoughts on that potential fit I kind of ran through it here this is like the third time we’ve made this kind of video there were even the rumors about Lind Holm getting traded to Boston from Vancouver right before the trade deadline in a three- team swap with the Penguins and the Canucks would have gotten gensel or whatever like imagine that e that was a crazy idea who was it that said it was it Nick kyos it was like lindol de Brusque and gensel all like swapping around I don’t know if it would have been like one for one for one or whatever but like talks got crazy they definitely got crazy when it comes to Elias lindome potentially becoming a b bruan but either way let me know your thoughts in the comment section below if you’re a canu fan what are your thoughts on the potential contract that linol could get with Boston if you’re a bees fan what are your thoughts on that as well do you need a guy like this to be able to be competitive and maybe make the third round once again you have some pretty good pieces but Brad Maran is getting older not everybody can stick around forever just got to wait and see what happens here let me know your thoughts in the comment section below if you’re a Boston fan a Vancouver fan what are your opinions about lindol projected heading over to the Boston Bruins on July 1st do you think the connect could strike a trade do you think they should say hey Boston you want first dibs on being able to sign this guy do you want the ability to get him for 8 years how about you make a trade with us give us your fourth round pick or whatever and then you can take him off our hands I feel like that’s the the necessary thing to do right especially if lindol wants to go to Boston I don’t know let me know your thoughts in the comment section below about the lindol Boston Bruins conversation I hope you enjoyed this voll 99 and bye 1. Boston would rather sign Lindholm for 7 than 8 years. Not trading a 4th rounder for his rights. Tbh i think they would rather sign him for 5 but hes only taking a 7 year deal

  2. he's good but not north of 7 million good. i think he has had a destination in mind back to when he refused calgary's generous offer. and it wasn't vancouver. boston is looking to sign 2nd tier players to stay in the playoffs but lindholm isn't going to get them to the promise land. bye bye lindy.

  3. Lindholm is the perfect Bruin. They will go all out for him.

March-Lind-Pasniak would be a sickkkkkkkkk line!
