We’re going over the rumoured list of Montreal Canadiens targets at 5th overall, for the 2024 NHL Draft.

The 2024 NHL Entry Draft is filled with a lot of top NHL prospects. Some are elite, and others could be even seen as franchise NHL prospects. Names to look out for include Macklin Celebrini, Cole Eiserman, Artyom Levshunov, Ivan Demidov, Berkly Catton, Sam Dickinson, Aron Kiviharju, Konsta Helenius, Henry Mews, Cole Hutson, Maxim Massé, Zayne Parekh, Tanner Howe, Igor Chernyshov, Adam Jiricek, Michael Brandsegg-Nygård, Ryder Ritchie, Beckett Sennecke, Charlie Elick, Zeev Buium, Veeti Väisänen, Will Skahan, Anthony Cristoforo, Liam Greentree, Alexander Zetterberg, Emil Hemming, Carter Yakemchuk, Andrew Basha, Jakub Chromiak, Sacha Boisvert, Justin Poirier, and Michael Hage.

  1. If Mtl go for a D, I would go for Dickinson. But as much the best players at 5 would probably be a D, I dont see Mtl drafting a D this year. Why I see Mtl drafting Iginla this year, even if its a bit low for him

  2. How about trading for Utah's #6 pick? Give them #26 this year, the better of MTL/CAL first rounder next year (top ten protected of course), and Harris/Struble. That way have the ability to select two best forwards available at those picks, or best forward and best d-man available then… having either two of Demidov, Lindstrom, Sennecke would be dynamite for the Habs for years to come!

  3. Celebrini goes 1, Demidov goes 2, Lindstrom goes 3 and Senneke goes 4, Habs would be completely dumb not to take Levshunov

  4. Selon mes sources 😮 Buium serait le meilleur choix après Demidov. Mais ça va crier à Montréal s’il repêche un défenseur. Alors ce sera Sennecke.
