  1. has anyone done the math and realized the oiler offense came to life the games after Barkov got laid out in game 3,,,,,Hes hurt, not concussed , but hurt after that play

  2. A whole lot of peeps, including myself, talking about how historic the Oilers’ very near possible reverse sweep is unfolding; however, the epic collapse of the Panthers in this series is historic too and, adding last year’s loss, might turn out to be something that the current team roster never recovers from.

Psychology is the greatest underrated factor in all sports. The script has switched. Yes, the Oilers made some key changes to their game, which actually began in the latter stages of game 3, but the Panthers are actually looking defeated and everything that could be wrong is manifesting.

Sociopathic-looking GM’s having meltdowns; locker rooms erupting in anger; an egotistic coach who normally behaves like a teen girl performing in front of a mirror during press conferences looking suddenly extremely bitter: If it happens, a lot can happen in a season, and I doubt the Cats’ current incarnation will survive their neutering.

Just…may the best and most positive team win.

  3. Floridas GM looks like he literally goes to the dressing room and beats the shit out of the team. The guys look like he does too….

  4. Panthers fan here. We are playing like ass. I cant tell you how many guys have given up on plays in the last 3 games.

  5. Oilers have been front runners. In their 15 playoff wins they have only trailed for 33 minutes. That's ridic. The books still have FLA as slight faves. OT would be heart-stopping.

  6. Edmonton has been playing great defensive hockey….. Never thought I would say that. They are not winning with run and gun. This is quite an impressive turn around for a team that used to be known as an offensive team with weak defense and goaltending. It has been an incredible transformation to watch. I am going for Florida but one has to admire the strides Edmonton has made, especially defensively.

  7. Oilers have only played one bad game, which was game 2.

See that’s the thing, Panthers fans after games 2 & 3 saying with such arrogance that the Oilers were being obliterated by a vastly superior Panthers team but that was actually never happening.

Oilers were largely dominating games 1 & 3 and they only played a bad game in game 2. Bobrovsky stood tall, but the Oilers began to resolve him in the last part of game 3.

My bracket picks of Oilers in 6 over Panthers was correct..,just wasn’t correct lol.

  8. By game 3 they blasted a big hole in the Oil tank and totally misread the size of the tsunami they'd unleashed.

  9. Conn Smythe should now be between McDavid and Skinner – the Oilers’ hometown kid who is now 10-0 in games 4-7 during these playoffs.

The only way Bobrovsky should be back in the conversation is if he posts a shutout in game 7 and the Panthers win the Stanley Cup.

  10. if the offside is THAT close they should just default to whatever was called on the ice. that said, oilers wouldve absolutely still won

  11. that blatant haul down of ekblad that led to the first goal set the tone of the game. i think the 3rd goal i swear i count 6 players on the ice for the oil, but that has happened a few times in the series and never called against them, so no surprise there. all we kept hearing was it was rigged for florida to win, but looking at it now, its fixed for Edmonton. i knew as soon as after game 3 one of the douche bros for Edmonton said " guess we got to start to play la bamba" i had a feeling they were going to fix this crap to win it for that little boy that passed away.

  12. Unfortunately it looks like the Panthers are about to set the bar for biggest choke in the history of sports. This 2024 team will forever be laughingstocks. In the future, any time you think your team choked, it won't be as bad as the Panthers' faceplant in '24.

  13. Yes Edmonton is playing well but Florida is playing terrible. Like its like the bet against themselves

  14. The Panthers ran out of gas at the absolute worst possible time. Oilers take the win 5-3. Its been one hell of a year for the Oilers, starting with that garbage record to now on the verge of a Stanley cup, one hell of a story to tell your kids.

  15. some A-hole in edmonton put some medicine on bobolski adn the panthers team … thats why they are all of a sudden loosing … smudge the team and they will win game 7

  16. I'm not rooting for either but I was hoping for either Florida to get their first cup or Edmonton to win if McDavid breaks Gretzky's record.

  17. Whichever team better controls the others’ ferocious forecheck with quick breakouts and counterattacks will win. Both teams are more than capable of doing this so it’s going to be an interesting battle.

  18. The Panthers may have just taken the foot off the pedal for even as little as one shift, but that is what has made the difference. Edmonton couldn't afford to take one second of any game off and they have the momentum, maybe somebody should tell P Mo that momentum is real now

  19. Here's the thing….Florida won 6 games in a row, 3 of those against the Oilers, so why is it so hard to believe that the Oilers could win 3 in a row?
