It’s not even up to debate. Skinner is atrocious in the playoffs. Fact is, they should have picked up a goalie before the deadline.i don’t want Calvin but anyone is better than skinner rn

I find it astounding that people who supposedly know about hockey think Skinner is a better Goalie then Pickard. No he isn't. Other then rebound control, Pickard is a much more stable and agile goalie with far better puck tracking and lateral movement, and he doesn't get rattled like a kid on his first date.

A – Doesn't matter. Oilers are f**ked either way. Just a question of when.
Definitely have to go with the main guy Skinner, it's his team, he had his break now he is ready to go.

both sieves it doesnt matter. the only reason Pickard won was vancouver got limited to very few shots. The oilers have no goalie limited talent onther then mcdavid and draistl and no toughness.
Definitely Pickard. I think that Skinner is showing clearly that he doesn't have the mental skills to handle the playoffs yet. He needs time in the AHL. Oilers GM has definitely not seen clearly that if you have 97 and 29 on your team you need a top goalie to back them up. They made some good D improvements but it could be better too.
Pickard will buts his gut to earn his chance. Skinner, not so much.

All these what ifs in the next round is over thinking it. If Pickard save +90% you start him next game. Period. Skinner hasn’t done this this post season (collectively) or the last.
Ummm.. I disagree with the balls meme and career on the line comment. Everyone in their right mind would’ve played Pickard. It was easy to say after game 2 even with a win.

Go with Skinner , the players won't take him for granted ,they should go back and forth so the team doesn't become complacent. Also way to many canuckleheads on this feed.

I think Pickard was played to get the team in front of him to start thinking defence first, and to give Skinner a mental rest. Edmonton did play very well defensively and played desperate in their d-zone beating the Canucks to most pucks. Vancouver did not play well to start.
Although Pickard may deserve to start game 5 I think Skinner will get the call.
The Canucks will be a different team tonight. If the Oilers can give the defensive effort they gave in game 4 Skinner will have more confidence. I expect a close low scoring game. Possibly the best game of the series. First goal will be huge. Pressure will be on Silovs. Is he the real deal or will his bubble eventually break. This could be the game where Skinner gains the confidence needed going forward. Whoever wins this one likely wins the series. Win or lose it should be a good one.
Pickard can’t be any worse than Skinner right now so go with Pickard. I’ve liked Pickard since I watched him play in preseason 2yrs ago and I was so happy to see him get called up after the Campbell fiasco. Pickard is very much underrated.

Why is it "brave" for the coach to change goal? If you aren't getting the job done, you get replaced by someone who will. It's the playoffs, no time for working back into it. Next change, demote Nurse to 3rd line D
