Kind of strange deal here. He gets traded and sent down to the AHL but claims to be injured and you can’t send an injured player down. They end up finding an injury and now he’s rehabbing.
Idk, you can go a couple ways with this. Either he was injured and that makes sense. Or he’s exaggerating something that he’s had for a long time just to be a pain in the ass because you can’t just trade injured players, so he never brought it up with the Avs in the first place, which is what I’m assuming is happening.
Either way I’m glad he’s gone, but when I heard that basically nobody wanted him from Philly it surprised me a bit. Despite his low effort/energy, he still put up decent numbers in the NHL. I thought surely some organization that doesn’t rely on speed would have taken a shot at him.
