Then you find rhe guy a trade to play somewhere and it's too good for him? What the guy's gonna use his NTC? Trying not to buy him out and EMBARRASS him. How many teams does Cam think want him after his play and injuries the past 2 seasons? Too good for San Jose for 6 months?

I am speaking for fans when I say ENOUGH "doing what's best for players all the time" at the expense of The Flyers future and on-ice product.
They should be asking about Laine but they won't become of Tortorella. I personally think Laine on the right team is still a 40goal guy.
No player with enough talent to control their destiny is not going to want to play for Tortorella.
History proves this over and over again. Very few want to put up with it and if they do they want to be overpaid. (Like Konecny asking for 10m aav with a 68point ceiling and 1goal in 20some playoff games)
Columbus will retain salary on Laine. He's going to go to Carolina, the Islanders, or Chicago or something and TEAR it up.
Laine's only shot to play top6 has been in Columbus.
Laughton and 12 for 7? Depends on who’s there but I’d think no matter what, you’d get a fantastic player. I think Silayev is well worth it at 7. People like to say he has no offense but his Defense and skating alone is unheard of. He can play against any teams top players and shut them down. That’s a number one’s main responsibility’s

Getting pick #7 gets us a great player. At least 4 really really solid choices there that could make a difference. I make the move of #12+Laughton every day. That player at minimum, has a massive ceiling compared to what we know we get with Laughton (bottom 6).

– Demidov
– Iginla
I would take any one of these 4 over #12+Laughton.
