It seems as though the New York Rangers and star forward Alexis Lafreniere won’t be coming to an agreement this offseason on a contract extension but will more likely get a new deal done next summer. Lafreniere ended up having a breakout season in 2023-24 and could be in for a huge pay raise next offseason.

I completely agree with holding off for the benefit of both sides . Lets see if last season was a fluke or a legit break out for Laf. If he keeps playing amazing then pay him what hes worth , if not we will be sad if we over pay because of a fluke season.
If Igor wants to get paid the Rangers are gonna have to let him walk. Build a team so great they won’t need a great goalie to win.
Get rid of Miller…he's not worth the money
Going to be some TOUGH decisions… Guys on his level were getting 7-8m per a year or two ago. He drops another gem in 24/25. Holy cow!
Gonna have to start moving off the old core next year. Trouba seems like the top candidate
Get the man some PP1 time and we are going to see 80+ points next year.
He is still a RFA after next season which will mean arbitration. He is taking a risk if he gets injured But it might get him more money if he has a great year.
I’ll keep saying it until it happens: get rid of Trouba even value for him is a bag of pucks. Get rid of Miller even value for him a skate sharpener and throw in a couple helmets with the Benjamin Moore emblem on em. We’re good 😂
Rangers need to get a mark messier type player and a clutch goal scorer.
