Casey Marty said that you might have went to school on Owen power’s shootout attempt what do you think yeah um I’ve been watching him do in practice for a couple years now or about a couple years so um I’ve stole some of his uh his moves for sure well let tell tell me about the move itself like coming from the right side the Pucks in the middle when you get in between the ash marks what are you looking for yeah I mean I think if if anything I’ve learned from op is he does a really good job of reaching it out to his backhand and then pulling it all the way to the forehand and I feel like that kind of throws a goalie off guard and uh you know changes the angle quite a bit so um I just try to move a little more to the left and and find the open net and luckily it was there Casey it’s only the second time Spencer Martin has played buffalo in his career how much Advance you know pres Scout at this time of a game you know are you aware of his Tendencies and also just what you had seen of him throughout the course of the game and whether that plays into the attempt yeah you know I think it it depends on the guy um for me I don’t look at it too much I’m more so so I’m uh just trying to go in make my move I I noticed on the first couple especially I think op’s helped me quite a bit and um he’s coming out pretty far so I was going to try to make a move to the side and move lateral and um yeah worked out so definitely happy about it you and your line mates Dylan cousins Jordan Greenway have had uh you know to be a big part of of the recent success right winning games Greenway Big Blocks on the peny kill cousins a little bit on the power play you five on five power play shootout um How Much Chemistry do you think is developing between the three of you guys yeah I think it’s been you know maybe a little bit of work in progress but um you know I think tonight especially we played really well and a lot of chances a lot of chances for me myself I think KY set me up like six times so um maybe a little snake bit on that end but uh you know I really like it I obviously I spent a lot of time with cuzy and um since greener’s been here I spent a lot of time with him as well so you know I definitely feel comfortable playing in between them and I feel like we’re only going to get better as we keep going do you and Dylan um like feel comfortable with with you being in the middle and him on the wing or do both of you feel like there’s opportunity to switch it up at times when you’re out there just cuz I’m I’m always curious when you’re you know natural at that position how hard it is maybe for the other person not in that familiar role yeah I think uh obviously I’ve played some Wing as well so maybe I can help him out a little bit with that and um you know I I feel like more than anything I think uh it’s so interchangeable out there there’s going to be times where cu’s going back and he’s going to be the center and I’m the wing and vice versa and honestly Greener goes back and plays low a ton too cuz he’s just he’s an absolute horse down there so um it goes every way I think it’s huge for for both of us were able to take draws on our strong side and and obviously CU he’s probably best Faceoff man so I enjoy that and um yeah I think like I said it’s work in progress but you know the amount of time we spend together and um the amount of fun we’ve had together I think uh it’s definitely a good fit and I think we’re we’re both really going to enjoy it lucan’s been fantastic what was the feeling when Marty H just had that fort attempt after your goal on the bench did you guys that well he’s got this we’re good baby let’s go like is the confidence growing not just amongst Lucan and himself but the team and and these type of situations yeah I think uh the feeling on the bench was was never a doubt let’s get out there and celebrate um yeah I mean he’s done a heck of a job what can what can we say he’s a dog and uh we love having him back there we’ve seen him practice and just the way he works I mean he takes shootouts for about 40 minutes every day after practice so um definitely good to see him get rewarded and like I said we we love playing in front of them uh thank you for winning also that may have saved the sabes a lot of money not having the dads to come back and just travel with the team for the rest of the year so winning with the dads but also without the dads and mentors always a good thing yeah for sure it was a it was a blast having the dads I think uh maybe they’re they still firing us up a little bit for today Casey thank you so much thanks guys
