Their salary structure is simply messed up. Fix that first.
Vegas and Florida proved that you need a balanced team to win; not half of the payroll on 4 players..simple
McDavid and Drai sucked in the SC final. There's nothing to learn hear.
One lesson is that you should expect to win if you score two goals. Playoff hockey is not the regular season.
Watching the finals, I couldn't help but think……….we are so close to a Cup………………….(sarc). . What I saw was 40 highly skilled, well coached, totally committed men, leaving every ounce of themselves on the ice. We aren't there yet.
Also home ice helped the panthers with the win wanted it more
I think all the staff get stanley cup rings which should be limited to players only crazy
..hopes dashed for a Canadian team cup winner..as a Habs fan..maybe a shot in 4 years or so…Leafs in that murky middle need to decide when to pull the plug on the "core" and rebuild with attitude..

We won’t have any success in the playoffs until all of the core 4 are gone
The salary cap is not fair for all teams its bs. No state tax team s keep winning what a shock, teams with 7% or more to spend have a way more balanced team. We can do taxes with pro salaries state to state to province but we cant adjust the cap with taxes, its not just Canada either NY, California etc. #fixthecap
